Does anybody else think it's weird that Roseville hasn't lost a game and is still sitting at number 9 when Edina has lost a game and is still sitting top 3?Also, i think wayzata should be top dog due to the teams they've beat. Didn't wayzata man handle one of the Edina teams already?
Here they are
1 EDINA GREEN
2 Edina White
3 Wayzata Gold
4 Lakeville
5 Wayzata Blue
6 Wessy’s Boys
7 White Bear Black
8 Osseo/Maple Grove
White
9 Roseville
10 Hastings Blue

What is edina doin up there?!?! wayzata gold beat edina green 4-0
edina white is 3-2-1 in league play, garbage!
I would say this should be the rankings
1- Lakeville
2- Roseville (im not really sure how they are this year)
3- Wayzata Gold
4- Wessy's boys
5- White Bear Black
6- Edina Green
7- Wayzata Blue
8- OMG white
9- Hastings
10- White Bear Orange
That is just my opinion... dont know how edina is stayin there

I think these rankings are a little strange but there haven't been too many games played yet so the basis for these is still a little weak. Keep in mind at the end of the day these rankings are nothing more than forum fodder and don't mean anything.
Here's my take on what I think the picture should look like.
1 - Lakeville, undefeated, +40
2 - WBL Black, undefeated, +30
3 - Wayzata Gold, undefeated, +22
4 - Edina Green, 5-1, +24
5 - Wessy's, undefeated, +24
6 - Roseville, undefeated, +23
7 - Wayzata Blue, 5-1, +21
8 - OMG White, 4-2, +17
9 - Edina White, 3-2-1, +15
10 - WBL Orange, 3-0-1, +19
Comparing teams among divisions is hard as there are very few common opponents. That will keep the rankings a little odd.
Wayzata hasn't played many games yet so they are a kind of hard to predict. They did beat Edina Green 4-0.
Edina green is a really solid team. Their goal differential, however, is largely built on a 14-0 score runup against OMG. Keep that score at an appropriate leveland their scoring differential drops down into the teens. They won the Schwan Cup this past weekend (by beating Edina White again). They've played some pretty tough teams so give credit to them on holding tough.
Edina White simply doesn't belong at number 2.
Lakeville has shown no reason it shouldn't be in the top spot. They score, don't give up many goals and seem pretty dominant so far.
The Wayzata Tournament in a couple weeks will really sort out the mix with both Edina teams, WBL Orange, Lakeville and Wayzata Gold. If you want to see some first rate Jr Gold hockey, that's the tournament to go watch.

ya wayzata tourny is going to be sick. Also, lakeville scrimages roseville on tuesday so that is going to knock one more team of the undefeated-no tie list. I still think roseville should be top 3 but i'm hoping after this next week the rankings become a little bit more accurate.

i think we all realize edina is only there because of their name "edina"!!

That stillwater team is a U16 team and the Peqout Lakes was a JV team.

the jv team used their varsity goalie against wayzata gold and only won by a few. shows a lot about wayzata gold.... and the skill of the peqout hockey program

yeah igh tied them and if they didnt get screwed over they would have played them again in the ship and prolly would have beat them cause they pretty much dominated the first game while they were still tired from new years.

How did pequot lakes JV team play a junior gold team? Pequot Lakes doesn't even have a varsity team, they are in the Northern Lakes Co-op.

It was Northern Lakes JV. I guess JV teams can play JR gold but still have to abide by HS rules. That is why the Varsity goalie played the 2nd game on Friday. HS players can only play 4 periods in a day.

We talked with the one goalie for Northern Lakes during the Wayzata game and he said that they only have two goalies. So they played every other game. The varsity goalie played against IGH and Wayzata

ok i know everone partied on new years but the point i was trying to make was that igh had to play at NOON in breezy point and had to leave at 7 in the morning. most of the other teams got to sleep in and leave at a later time.
