Gotta go with Forbert and company from east. One of the best d-cores I have ever seen.

Got to go with Duluth East on that one.

I'm biased, of course, but I also haven't seen many teams this year so can't say who has the strongest D unit. What I've seen is that East's defensive core is probably the best they've had since Finnegan and Angell led a very strong East D en route to a state championship. By the time the season is over, this group may be even better than that group.
Cooper has looked good between the pipes so far. He wasn't tested against Central but saw quite a bit of action against Wayzata, particularly during that extended period where they were two men short in the third period. Matt came through with a solid effort.
They have four outstanding kids on the blue line this season. A lot has been said about Forbort (and with good reason), but let's not overlook Joe Arbour, Alex McLean and Jake Williams.
Facing Pitlick and Co. next week will be an excellent early test.

Hill-Murray. They have solid defensemen and their forwards also play tough d in their zone and don't give up alot of opprutunities around the net.

Hill doesn't have the big stud D guys this year. However, they do play good TEAM defense.

Good comparison. We'll see how they can do against a good offensive Centennial team. Should be a fun one to watch.

After watching East's defense tonight I don't believe they are as good as everyone stated. The only reason they posted the shutout was because of Cooper's play in nets. Forbort took some stupid penalties, he should fit right in at North Dakota.
