He had a great jr year. he just didn't have much d in front of him to clear pucks out so gave up some goals. but this year he is looking twice as good so far through out 3 games.

I know it is only 3 games ( Simley, Thief River Falls and Roseau) but the kid is showing some talent in nets and keeping the eagles in every game......

saves for games:
Simley: 16 saves (6-0 Win)

Thief River Falls: 34 saves (0-3 last goal ENG Loss)

Roseau: 44 saves (2-2 Tie)

98 shots faced giving up 4 goals. 2 Games were against somewhat of good hockey teams

He has made some unreal saves so far from what i have seen.

Any thoughts?

ive got to agree the kid has been playing out of his mind and totally put the team on his back against roseau as they should've lost after all the penalties their team had.......they were on penalty kill over half the game it seems to be that way every game.he leaves no rebounds at all!!!!!

Tyler Olson is one of the best goalies in the metro and if you don't believe I'll send you the tape of the roseau game. That'll surely change your mind.

Olson is a great goalie, and has defiantly carried the TG hockey team through some tough games. He could go somewhere if he wanted to, and worked hard at it. I am interested to see how he will do this week, as it is a tough week for tg. either way, Olson is an outstanding goalie.

In a weird accident Tyler Olson stepped on a puck 15 seconds into a game vs. Minnehaha put his arm down to brace his fall and dislocated his shoulder. He will miss a minimum of a month and will miss some big games. Olson was the heart and soul of this defense and TG will need to step up huge to overcome this unfortunate event.
