How do you figure?
Lourdes is top notch. I-Falls has been always seems tot put a solid group together. AL has put together a prety impressive 5-8 year run.

Sorry for voicing my opinion. Maybe you should have your child on Apple Valley console you on how to act like an adult, even with animosity.
Last year Apple Valley went straight to the 7th place game, it's not like it hasn't happened. Last year they didn't even have near as difficult as a starting bracket either. Now that I look at it, I'd still have Apple Valley going to the 7th place game, but probably have Mayo going into the championship with Fargo South. (Which I'm going to change it to) There may be a thread about Apple Valley being underrated, but they're in the top 20 of the rankings, and you're talking like I should be ashamed for saying they'll lose to Buffalo (who won the tournament last year) and to Mayo. Maybe they should just opt out of this tournament and go straight to the Schwans Cup.
You should be ashamed for saying such juvenile insults. Also, learn to type, please.

Hockey high- This year's team is completely different then last years team. If getting 7th in the tourny last year matters then i guess the same team would win state every year. Your arguement is they were in that game last year. So i guess your predicting another Hill-Murray state championship. I guess we don't need to play this season. With that said, Apple Valley underachieved last year. This year they have three solid forward lines. 4 Solid D and two goalies who could start at most schools in minnesota and your trying to tell me that Buffalo who is 2-2 will beat them. Maybe if av didnt show up that could happen. Valley losing to Hastings who lost to eastview 4-1 and Av beat eastview 3-1 it doesnt make sense. For the record i can type i am actually a Lakeville North parent who is an av grad so i folllow the team. I have seen them play and they are very good. why dont you stop worrying about your typing and more about your facts cause your talking hockey out of your a**. you are just making a fool of yourself at this point.
Everybody stop the threads Hill has just won state

What's it like to be an idiot?
His whole point was that if it happened once it can happen again, not that will happen for sure.

Yeah and your argument about Hastings losing to Eastview and Apple Valley beating them means nothing when Apple Valley and Hastings play. We all know the transitive property just does not work in high school hockey. That's is why they play the game. Plus, Buffalo is gonna be no slouch. Don't get too ahead of yourself, Apple Valley has started well and that is great but nothing is given. HockeyHigh even admitted he did not know much about the Minnesota teams. It is his opinion who he picked and he is getting attacked for it. Sure his pick in Fargo South to win it all may be a bit biased/homer but who cares? Give the guy a break.

Hey Tenderlove, it is not that far fetched that Hill will win it. If I had a extra $1000.00 and Vegas would take the bet, I would make it. Have you seen them play this year. Your post makes no sense. There is not a team in this tourney that will have 10 wins at the end of the year. Who cares who wins this thing. A good "A" bantam team could compete in this tourney. Now get back to recess, and kick a home run for your team. They need you to be focussed. Just FYI if the pitch is to bouncey call a KB (Kick Back).

I'll let you place $1000 on a team that isn't even in the tourney.

Goldy, you need to read the post carefully. I will take Hill in the State tourney. I don't need to scold you to do I.

I'll bet you that every team in the AA field has 10 wins this season.

hockey junkie i bet most if not all of these teams have over 10 wins. and you can bring any bantam a team you want to this tournament and they will get 8th. bantam and high school hockey is a big step.

You're right, it was really stupid of me to think that you were talking about the Kiwanis tourney. After all, we are in the Kiwanis thread.

This is a terrible, terrible post.
I guarantee at least 1-2 teams out of the AA bracket a year could compete for a top spot in the Schwans cup. The fact also is, there are many AA teams in the bracket that will get plenty more wins than 10 this season, you're talking like this is a tournament at the outdoor rinks. There is also no chance that a Bantam A team could have a chance in hell of competing at Varsity level hockey, not on South, Apple Valley, Buffalo... Mayo... and so on levels. The difference between Bantams and High School is like the difference between Juniors and College.
Also, if you have this much against a tournament, why come to a thread dedicated to it?

You are high.. But it ain't on hockey. I'm guessin' either glue or you've been sucking the helium out of your Scooby Doo birthday baloons.
Year after year this is the cheeziest tournament in the state. No way would any of this field compete in the Schwans. This field would make for a better grapplin' tourney than a hockey tourney. Throw in Simley and take out I-Falls, bring in the Crusher as your guest referee and you might have something.
I would have to disagree with Junkie that the better A bantam teams could compete, but i've seen a couple of girls teams this year that would give a few of these teams alll they could handle.
Buffalo, A.V and New Richmond showed a little life a few years back. But few and far between, and certainly not nearly enough to compete at the X. C'mon..
I don't know much about Fargo other than the movie stunk. I know last years team wasn't anything special.
Hastings........ well they go just to get a win or two so by season's end they can say they won 5 or 6 games.
Rochester hasn't had much since the Lecy brothers in the late 70's early 80's.
The only decent team in both classes is Lourdes, but how in the world can you give them any state wide respect playing against this cup cake field.
This may be the most pathetic field i've seen assembled in a long, long time..

I've only been referring to the AA schedule (which would be the top 1-2 teams as I mentioned). As far as Fargo goes, they've played two teams (Moorhead/WBL) from the Schwans cup and have yet to lose. You are right, however, that last year's South team wasn't anything special. But I figure the scores with their teams so far compared to last years matches against the same teams would represent something better.
Mayo, Apple Valley, Buffalo and South are all respectable teams.
