I'm a little disappointed they're not showing any of the top 3 rivalries in the state (DE-CEC, WBL-HM, Roseau-Warroad), but it's a very solid lineup top-to-bottom with a good balance of Metro and Outstate, and a few single-A games to satisfy those viewers too.

Not that I can watch most of them, but it looks like some fun hockey.

first game at burnsville will be unreal..im predicting an upset. 3-2 burnsville in OT

Outstate?...as in Buffalo being outstate & the pride of Sec 8AA

Looks like a good scedule to me. FSN will never make all of us happy (no Rochester rivalry games?), but there are some great games. I hope Centennial lives up to their hype if they are on four times.

Edina verse Grand Rapids could be running time this season. That game will be an ugly one to watch.

I agree 100% that they should work in the 3 rivalries you mentioned. Also, I don't like the idea of having a team play on TV more than once. Spread it out, have as many teams as possible showcased, and fit in the big rivalries. They have 18 dates scheduled, which means 36 DIFFERENT teams should have the chance to experience the spectacle that is "FSN High School Hockey Night" There are more than 18 good rivalries in Minnesota, so they should have no problem compiling a list together that is more legit than the one they have released to us for this year.

Roseau at Moorhead
Virginia at Hibbing
White Bear at Hill
Minnetonka at Edina
Century at Mayo
Lakeville N vs Lakeville S
Greenway at Grand Rapids

There would be plenty of room for them to set up the equipment. The 5 fans in attendance wouldn't be hard to work around.

No Roseau-Warroad means I better get out a map and plan a trip up north. I just can't decide with arena I want to see more. Hmm...

I hope to make it to a few of these. The Minnetonka - Edina game was a blast last year.

Sorry to turn this political but I couldn't refuse. Let everyone get a trophy, play at a state tournament, so on and so forth. Centennial gets 3 games, Edina gets 3 games, and WBL gets 3 games and lets hope they all live up to there hype. These have been the three best forever at this age group so beat them, if you can.

By the way while your whining about someone getting more opportunity lets evaluate some of the other games "Cretin v STA" is this the best of St Paul Area Public kids or Lakeville South? ,Roch JM and St Paul Who?,Wayzata's done nothing v Buffalo????????????? give me a break.

I'm excited to see more high school hockey on FSN again this year. Anyone know where you can view the ratings for FSN North programs? I want to see the number of viewers these high school games lure in compaired to the T-Wolves.

i would argue that stc tech vs. stc cathedral has become the main cross-town rivalry over the past few years. that would actually be a legit game to film too as the fan turnout at those games are pretty good compared to just a regular high school hockey game, add in the thrill of being on fsn and the turnout would probably be even higher.

not that they would ever even think of that game at this point, especially considering the fact that it would be during the schwans cup over the holidays.

I guess 2/3 of the argument is factual the other 1/3 Lee isn't buying.

Have you ever seen a crowd at a HS game in the metro? It's double the "pretty good" turnout at the Cathedral Tech games.

Dang!!! No Cambridge vs Princeton game this year. The battle for the all mighty Blazing Blades Trophy. I guess I will have to be forced to watch Duluth East versus Centennial. I bet more people will be in the stands for the Bluejackets and Tigers game than the Greyhounds and Cougars. Well actually that will be a fact as the Isanti Arena holds about 400 more fans than the Centennial Arena (1200 to 800). Go Jackets!!!

Lee until Centennial comes apart they are one of the 2 premier teams in this age group even over the beloved Hounds. And history is the only thing we have right now. So I stand by my 2/3.

I don't disagree with how they are currently. But when you toss out the word "forever", my counter is that you're talking about a high school team with one state tournament appearance in their history. Forever isn't even close to descriptive. While they may historically have had good success at the youth level, their high school team hasn't done much outside of that one great season. In short, they need to rack up some more appearances at state before we start using "Centennial" and "forever" (or as you put it, "history") in the same sentence.
