Just wondering who the best A PeeWee players are...the tall (6') kid from AV last year was very good (size helps) but you need skill and he had that as well...he is still peewee age but heard he is trying out for AV High School as an 8th grader! Can anyone confirm? Player from Wazata (center) is pretty good...anyone else?
Thanks.[/b]

Perhaps Reg7? Come on! You don't have to dig too deep within this board to see the far too many "best of" threads/inquiries/self serving solicitations, including the 95, 96 and 97 levels which comprise the 08-09 Peewee level. The season is early - very early. Some teams have yet to play their first game/scrimmage. The Peewee level will be very competitive with many talented teams and players. Enjoy.

#99 from flint flon is very good!
Clear this thread, season hasn't even started yet. Way to early to start pumping your kids tire!!!

No tire pumping here...flint flon? I heard 99 was traded to muskeegan because he was a puck-hog!...that club hockey is a grind.
Good luck to all the peewees this year...

I think #15 and #20 on BV, #11 on White Bear Lake, and #16 on Wayzata. #16 on Wayzata has lead them to most of their victories

1) EGF, pretty good team #2 Dist 16, altough they rely on 1 line a lot. 2 recruits from other assoc. makes them deeper. I believe it's #17 from the Fargo Flyers.
2)Crookston, wasn't deep but not a bad team until they lost #25 for the season. ouch!! that hurt them.
3)Warroad waaayyyyy down, Lost to Roseau 18-0.

Recruits just for this tournament or this season? What #'s are the top lines for EGF and Crookston.

I'm more of a high school watcher not a P-wee person. Just going by what I've read on here, and heard at the rink.

ill say this if wayzata thinks they have a free pass to the gold bracket playing egf they better think again. wayzata maybe the better team but egf is no easy win.

You Roseau boys all know about "free passes"

EGF's is ranked #10 in LPH. Wayzata can't possible think they have a free pass. They know, just like ever other team, that nothing is certain in youth hockey.

Roseau gave themselves a easier (but not easy with the teams in this tournament) bracket to work thru, but heck most home tournament people do (with the excecption of Edina in their last tournament).
Either way it would be a good one to watch with some very fast, skilled players with good coaches from quality associations.
Heck it would be fun to just watch the coaches having a chess game.

ya anyway you slice it just to place in this tourney would be something to be happy with. Are you comeing over Bronc?

Does the fact that Wayzata beat Roseau in the Fargo Squirt championship 2 years ago have anything to do with Wayzata getting the hardest draw in the first round?
Then if they happen to win, getting the "best-ranked" team in state for the 2nd round (Elk River)?
If Wayzata is able to get to Championship Sunday, they will have had a great weekend. They have a lot of obstacles...
Best of luck to all the teams and KEEP WARM - the temperature will be dropping, dropping, drop....

Watchdog, besides EGF, what good teams have you played since the EP Tournament?

There seems to be a lot of talk about the Strand kid up North. I've seen him play and he seems to live up to the hype. He is a complete package...vision, hands, scoring, passing, etc. Should be fun for Roseau to watch him develope.
