With 37 pages in this topic "Scores", I'd recommend either clearing this one or creating a new topic before the 08/09 season starts.

Good idea. I've created a new topic (the one you're now reading) and moved this post into it.

Shakopee 3-0 over Jefferson- both 8th graders (Menke and Hespenheide) scored and Anderson added 1 plus 2 helpers. Gansen (10th) was solid in nets. Anyone have any thoughts about this team. Really early-

(#8AA) Hill Murray 4 (#2AA) Stillwater 2
It was a great game with a big crowd.
HM was down 2-0 in first two minutes. It was 2-1 after 1, 2-2 after 2 and HM added 2 in the 3rd and just missed an open net. HM outshot Stillwater 41-25. Sobczek played outstanding in goal for Stillwater and score could have been worse without her play. Sophmore Allie McKeever was again outstanding in goal for Hill Murray.
This was a big win for HM with three top players out Sr D Casey Knajdek, Sr C Kaylee Sommer and Jr D Katie Dolan all injured - they should all be back by 12/5-6 games with Roseau and Warroad.

Congrats on the huge win over a very tough opponent! (I knew I wasn't really going out on a limb in predicting this one

) There is no doubt in my mind at least that HM is one of the very best teams in the State and they should go a long way this year.

I was at the Cretin/Coon Rapids game last night. Both teams very young. I think that there were a couple eight graders and about 15 9th graders on the two teams. Slow game. CR goalie is very good and Bona for CR is outstanding. Not much happening on the Cretin bench.

Wayzata 5-4 over Shakopee in OT. Shako was up 3-1 going into the 3rd and let a few in early. Responded with a big goal late to tie it up. Wayzata has some good skaters. Nicole Anderson for Shakopee looked good with a shorty and the late tying goal. Pretty good game to watch. Shakopee outshot Wayzata 31-21 (13-4 in the 1st).

Close, physical, strong defensive game. Only 2 goals scored, one on a breakaway by Brauer on a nice long pass from Hinueber and the other a wee bit of luck when a Blaine defensemen deflected a high shot from the point by Thotland.

Interesting to read the Irondale box score - Gina McDonald 4 G and Meghan Lorence 3 G - 7 from one line is big not sure who other wing is or what she got? Alex Nelson had all 5 goals for Andover!
Hastings had a big night to tie Burnsville who has been playing very well.
Hopkins 8-2 over Centennial who was ranked high you can see the offensive fire power showing Cara Johnson with the hatrick.
