First preseason game last night

Wild win 2-1 in a horribly reffed game.

Pouliot shows once again why he should be on this team and fan favorite Irmen got tossed for no reason.

This was against the Columbus team, not to mention that their team was almost all minor leaguers

Any predictions for this year?

I see the wild taking the division over the lames. Edmonton has goalie issues, the avs simply have no goalie, and the canucks have no one who can score.

I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's a rough look at what we will be seeing in a couple weeks. To be honest, I'm not sure if the Wild will be able to win the division with this group. I like that we added veterans like Brunette and Nolan, and I like our defense a lot better. But I'm not sure where all the goals are going to come from. They didn't replace Rolston and Demitra with much. Backstrom is going to have to play they like we all know he can, and Gaborik is going to have to stay healthy and score goals, lots of goals.

I was there for the 1st pre season game.Good game hope to make it to tuesdays game.

Gut feeling it will be free agency.. Will still be fun to watch either way.

Heard on XM radio that Chris Simon is leading the Russian (KHL) hockey program with 96 penalty minutes in 9 games.

What a great pick up for last years playoff and a great loss for this year WILD team.

Zidlicky is out for Saturday's game, so Mojzis got a spot. The Wild will name their captain for October sometime today. Gillies (19 years old) or Weller is going to be suiting up for the opener. Probably Weller. I wish Skoula was on IR and not Foster.

Wild (3-0-0) defeat Panthers tonight 6-2. Good win for the Wild with 4 of their top players out of the lineup. Miettinen-Koivu-Brunette line with a combined 4 goals and 6 assists.

It was a good game to watch. What was wrong with gabie? Did he have a hang nail????

This season so far seems to be going a lot like last year where we win like the first 8 games and then we just decided to not show up till after the break.

Well they are 4-0 lets enjoy it and not look at the past.

This team hopefully didn't catch the TWINS DISEASE. It would be a long year of frustration if that were to happen.

It was the same thing with opening night. 4 to 1 after two. In the third the (coach) WILD goes into the will take at worst a tie defense mode attitude. We won 4/3 but we do not have any tempo and the enjoyment factor sucks for us the fan in the third.
This is why Marian Gaborik does not want to play here, Jacques Lamaire rolls this team up in a cocoon in the defensive zone style; hold the lead! A defensive zone trap! Much better than the neutral zone trap being there is less ice to cover with the same amount of players. Brilliant! Does not fit Marian.

This team can score and run teams out of the building. Our coaches system let’s the teams back into the game, it is like get the guaranteed 1 point for this game and we get a 50/50 chance to win in overtime if we blow the win. We still ahead (as said in French style).

The Wild dropped their first game in regulation tonight falling to the hated Dallas Stars (who will forever be traitors in my heart) by the score of 4-2 in Dallas. The Wild fell behind early trailing by the score of 3-1 after the first but were not able to muster the comeback. Of Minnesota interest, Mountain Iron, Minnesota native Matt Niskanen, who played college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, scored a goal for Dallas.

The Wild are back in action Thursday night as they host the Montreal Canadiens at the X.

The Wild got back in the win column tonight with a 3-2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes in Phoenix, Arizona. The Wild got goals from Pouliot, Koivu, and Belanger in the win while Backstrom had 25 saves.

The Wild will take to the ice again on Tuesday when they face the San Jose Sharks in Northern California.

The Wild played their first game against a Northwest Division opponent tonight and got 2 big points by defeating the Colorado Avalanche by the score of 3-1 in Denver. The Wild now stand at 17 points on the season.
