This year they were in the International Cup (Invite) at the Super Rink; Blaine (June) and The Lakes Superior Stars Ice Cup; Duluth (August). They will be looking for 3 Invite tourneys for next year.

If you can’t make the tryout slotted for your birth year, go to one Similar. Cyclone Hockey understands Association Hockey is still in tryout mode or has already started practices with their winter teams. Just make a note of this on your registration form. For instance, if you have a 94/95, which can’t make the 3:30p Tryout, send them to the 96’s 7:00p Tryout. Any Questions or concerns please email

Elliot -
Is it within MN Hockey rules to participate in a hockey tryout after being placed on a Squirt team for the season.
Just wondering ...

So, are you suggesting that they can’t go to hockey clinics or camps either, if they have been placed on a team already?
AAA Tryouts are happening now all over for 2009 summer hockey, and will continue through the fall, into winter, and finish in the spring.
Not that I fully agree with that, but it is and has been happening for awhile… A kid could be peaking now, but others will excel over the winter. Might have a totally different kid come April 1 of next year…

FYI, Elliot shared there is no such rule on the books. Please forgive the hubbub.
