97 Icemen posted on their website that Troy Riddle and Grant Pultuny were named as coaches for the 2009 season - www.97icemen.com

Anyone know if they are planning to have tryouts? - if yes, when?

Wow, sounds like a pretty powerful coaching staff that the kids on that team will be able to really look up to. I know that my kid would love to have a chance to play for some former Gophers and NHL'er..Hat's off to the Icemen organization for getting a couple top notch coaches for next season. Also, it's awesome that these guys are willing to give back to the kids in Minnesota.

Good to see the Icemen getting some new young coaches. At their inception, I thought the Icemen were going to be the new Blades but they kind of fizzled out after two good years because they didn't have a point person organizing everything. I hope they make a comeback. There need to be more that 2 legitmate AAA organizations in this state. Maybe these young coaches can identify and develop young players to compete with the blades and the machine teams.
