2009 Winter Classic: Wrigley Field

Looks like Wrigley Field will host the 2009 Winter Classic instead of Yankee Stadium. Wings vs. Hawks.

It was great to see, no competition on TV. BUT; have at least FOUR Zamboni to clean the ice faster in case of snow!

I cannot wait for one of these to be here once the new Gopher Stadium is up (I would assume that's where it would be). The NHL needs to think of a different day to play this game though. On a day dominated by college football, they are not going to draw new people.

The game got VERY good ratings not to mention HUGE attendance numbers in the Pens-Sabres game. I think the date is fine.

I think it should be a lead-in to NFL Wild Card Saturday.

and play it at the same stadium...would be pretty fun to see football on ice
