This thing is a joke. It is a money maker. The only people in the stands are mom and dad. I did this thing the last two years, everyone said that there will be WCHA Coaches, NHL Scouts there. Did not see one the whole week. Oh yeah the guy who runs it was a assistant coach at the U 20 years ago. Stay away it's a joke.

Sucks that it took 2 years for you to realize it.

Seen as how you were looking in the stands rather then playing well the scouts more then likely weren't interested in you anyways.

I spoke with some players that said they didn't like the format 44 minute periods are to long and there was no flow. Go to 3, 17 minute periods. Another player told me he liked the oppertunity to just play and it gave him lots of ice time prior to Select 16's. I think this gives the kids good ice and compatition. But the format is something that needs to be reviewed.
Running time penalties need to be addressed, as well as the severity of them as well.
I watched a boy on the 2010 South team from Rosemount spear 2 times because he took a hard hit twice, and never got a penalty one player in the groin and another in the back of the legs. The refs need to pick their game up. They need to throw this player out of the tourney. No regular season coach would condone this type of play. And if their are scouts in the stands do they want this type of player on their team???

What ever happen to letting the kids go out and just have fun playing hockey for the weekend... Its interesting... players and parents not wanting to participate because of the lack of the "scout factor"... Hey...if you are not noticed by now.... Nothing wrong with developing life skills....

Probably because "fun" doesn't need to cost $200.

I have heard from talkign to some people that Nanne was impressive at Gopher State. I was surprised he was there because he was on JV this year. Was he really as good as im hearing? If anyone knows how any of the other AV guys did either let me know. Thanks.
