pretty obvious picks in my opinion
1970: 1974 Edina East
1980: 1983 Hill
1990: 1993 Jefferson
2000: As of now 2004 Centennial (should be what could have been 2005 Moorhead) But I will hedge my bets and say the 2009 Hornets will be by far the best of this decade
all time: 1993 Jefferson (I would bet only team on the map compared to this team is what might be the 2009 Edina team).

Just glanced at the brackets, the teams/records they have posted may be a bit suspect. For example, they have "Warroad 2000" at 28-0-2. This was obviously the 2005 team...

There has to be a better set up for voting. It would take an hour to vote on everyone of those matchups.

We'll take a look at that suggestion. Hopefully we can change so you'll be able to vote on all the matchups at once.

Problem with this type of contest is it becomes a popularity contest. No way a private school will win that. And unless the 2009 Edina squad goes undefeated, I don't know how you can put it in the same class as the three you listed. I would have to give that Bloomington Squad the nod, but I saw them play a number of times and I didn't see the other two as much at all. The championship Centennial squad deserves to be mentioned as well, because one loss doesn't dent the fact they gave up no goals in the state tourney. That makes them a team for the ages.

I would also go along with the '93 Jefferson team as being the most dominating ever. With juniors and Ann Arbor we eill probably never again see that much talent/number of D1 players on one team.
I also agree that during the 70's the '74 Edina team was a big powerhouse and overwhelming favorite to win the Tournament, which of course proved true. But in the semi's they almost got beat by a scrappy Sibley team who had a 3-0 lead on Edina with only about 10 minutes to go. At the time that would have been a HUGE upset and it nearly happened.

fair points. As to the popularity contest, I think that you are right. To be honest though, other than the 1983 Hill team, there have not been any truely dominant private teams. There is reason for this though. Private school hockey (other than hill) is just coming out of infancy. The private leagues of the old were not even close to the public, and in this decade the Privates are starting to be top notch contenders. I would say its the 2010-2020 time span that private school hockey will become either a fixture (like hill already has) or become a blip on the radar.
As for the 2009 hornets, they are the only team that reminds me of the 1993 jags. All the players stayed (granted like you said, the jags didnt have to deal with Ann arbor and elite style leagues). I simply stated I think they have the potential to be the best team of the decade.
As for centennial, I think you hit it on the head.

In modern times two teams stand above the rest.
04 Centennial and 93 Jefferson
