I'd bet a month's salary that the Bantam B1 state champ will be either Wayzata Blue or Blake. Not to take anything away from the other teams, but from what I've seen (and I've seen 7 of the 8 teams play) the talent of Wayz. Blue and Blake is a level above the rest.

i agree with you that those teams have skill and talent. Just as an after thought i dont see the norhtern teams as strong competiters. Centennial is okay and has good goalies but i think Blue and Blake are above the rest also.

the only "poll" that will matter will be decided on the ice.

remember, hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. (it seems like the appropriate time for cliches) good luck to all teams still playing. everyone has earned the right to play on, and some very good teams are not playing anymore.

DE Black was up on centennial 2-0 with 10 minutes and was outplaying them and then just had a meltdown. But yes Blake and Wayzata are in a league of their own.

We have yet to play Blake, and lost to Wayzata Blue in our first scrimmage of the year 2-1 (the day after our team was picked) We hope to get a chance to play them both at state. Good luck to all teams that made it.

what type of team wins state? is it a tremendous skill level team or a team that has flat out dedication? What is it going to take for a team to win state? will it be intensity? passing? conditioning? heart? what are the factors to a state championship team?

Goodthing no-one bet a months salary on last years state tournament winner, as the top 3 all got knocked off by an Orange team from WBL.

Dala usually a flat out love for the game and respect for it equals most of the things you said and more so the team that loves the game the most has a good chance of taking it home

Duluth 4- You guys were not outplaying them. I watched that game. A couple of lucky bounces and you guys were up 2-0. Yes you guys had a meltdown and lost with 2 minutes left to go. Final score 4-2. Seems to me like you guys can't stand the pressure.

LEADERSHIP, LEADERSHIP AND MORE LEADERSHIP From the C, & A & A
Also a commitment from all 17 kids to play an unselfish and dedicated brand of hockey.
Last years Champs, WBL Orange had those qualities plus the parent group was also on board to the team concept...not just what their kid was doing or playing.
Most head coaches would agree that to get the parents on board will make the difference in a seasons success. ( of coarse a little skill helps also )

Good Luck to all,

My pick is Tonka

Ha. It's going to be great to see you guys go down to New Ulm and get spanked by Wayzata. I'm guessing you guys might get 6th...

Park? is it because you got beat by us that you think we will get smoked? I am pretty sure we beat eden prairie red. Does that not say anything? Thought they were 5th in state, am i wrong? But Park16 we will see in about two weeks who gets smoked and who doesn't. Good luck to all teams

My pick for state would be Duluth East. I can see a upset in the wayzata game. I don't know who will win the other braket to meet them in the state game though, i do not know much about any of the other teams (ex. centenial or moorehead)
