Go to your schools Girls hockey MSHSL website and you will find the info there for Class A and Class AA.

I am puzzled as to why Andrea Green didn't make all tournament.

I was surprised on this one too. Without her scoring punch in the final game, EP loses.
The argument i could see being made is that she contributed no points in the other two games. I don't see this argument having much merit though because i'd say the goals she did score are twice as important.

Do they POSSIBLY do the all tournament team before the championship game? I know sounds goofy but that would possibly account for not being on the list.

The EP fans were wondering the same thing and the way her absence from the award was explained was that the voting takes place around the end of the first period or beginning of the second period of the Championship game. They do it that way because they need time to get all the girls receiving the award together before the end of the game so they can immediately announce the "All Tournament Team" after the games finish.
Greeny should have made it (that should go without saying) but since her 3 goals all came during the 2nd and 3rd period she missed out on the award! Tragic, but I guess I understand.
The announcers of the game were right. The game turned into the "Andrea Green Show" Saturday night. She won that game for EP. She's on my All Tournament Team!

Makes sense given the scenario you describe....too bad for A. Green but I am sure she is thrilled with a state champ medal!

I've heard otherwise from a fairly reliable source that they are scrambling at the end of the game to pick for the final two teams. It might be true that from the other teams they have a good list in mind.
My source even suggested that due to the scrambling at the end that Green was left off by mistake, or mislisted, thus giving someone else the award in her place.
Not sure if procedure changed this year, but i figured i would throw it out there.

Bet they will be reviewing their procedures if it is at the end of the game because someone did a BIG OOPS that did not get caught!!!

I understand how they would plan out who made the team before the championship game but...you'd think if someone has a game like that you'd make an adjustment.
And as rwb1351 said, without her, EP loses.

I agree with everyone here that it is unbelievable that she did not make All Tournament. They need to adjust their procedures so that someone who has such a major impact on her team winning the championship does not get left off future All Tournament teams. Even though it's not official, everyone knows that Andrea Green deserved it.

The same thing occurred two years ago. An EP player who had two goals and two assists in the 6-1 game was also left off the all tourney team.
The team is picked long before the championship game is over. If you want to make that team, you had better have a good game or two early.

A good case could be made for CDH's goalie, Jondal.

Nothing against CDH goalie, she played a great tourney, but if they are only going to put 1 goalie on the AA all-tournament team how can it not be Burke with the state champion.

There are two goalies -- Burke and Havel. I agree that those two plus Jondal were all deserving of recognition.

GopherFanARM, my mistake and the thing is I double checked before posting my comments. My apology goes out to Havel. Havel must be a quick learner, she wasn't going to let A. Green use that same move on the drive to the net.

Congratulations to all the players selected for these high honors. I also wanted to recognize a young up-and-coming star at SSP that made the list. South St. Paul Defense Sam LaShomb - only an 8th grader - will be one to watch for many years to come. I had the honor of coaching her for a season and I expect great things from her in the years ahead.

Yes, because there is only 1 goalie and she wasn't in the championship.

Could be wrong, but I thought both goalies from the AA game were All Tourney.

Neither of which seemed as good as Jondal, could be wrong again though.
