team change

does anyone know the rules for changing teams. because i was playing jr. gold here in Minnesota and i just moved out of state, and im wondering if i am allowed to join the high school team in the middle of the year. I have been hearing that i cant but that doesnt make any sence that just because i moved means i cant play for the rest of the year?

Since he moved out of state I'm sure that will not help due to the fact that the state he moved to is most likely not governed by the Minnesota State High School League.

Not minnesota but the team is under USA hockey. Is it the same anywhere?
