Rosemount plays Saturday the 16th at 7:30 according to MaxPreps. If thats true then it would probably be the morning of the 17th or possibly even that night after the Rosemount game finishes because they are the only night game that day everyone else is done or plays in the afternoon that day.

I don't think Rosemount necessarily has the top seed locked up either.

You think Woodbury could steal it? Eastview can't losing twice to them and finishing behind them in the conference.

how could woodbury lose it when they also lost to rosemount? they might have a chance at a better record, but strength of schedule will favor rosemount.

Reagrdless, the top 3 are Rose, EV, Woodbury and i'm 95% sure rose will get the number one seed. 2 and 3 will be close, and strength of schedule goes to EV. Should be interesting.

Who thinks Woodbury should get 2 and why? Who thinks EV should get 2 and why??

Remember the season is not yet over. Woodbury still has a game tomorrow against a very good White Bear team at Aldrich. Eastview has a game on Saturday versus an absolutely awful Kennedy team. I predict both teams will win, and in that case the #2 spot goes to Eastview because of their wins over Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, and Jefferson. If EV somehow manages to lose to Kennedy, Woodbury gets the #2 seed regardless of the outcome of their game at WBL. In my opinion, tomorow's game is a must-win for Woodbury if they want the 2 spot. And Rosemount, having beaten Woodbury once and Eastview twice, will get the 1 seed. I'm interested to see how this all plays out after the seedings are taken care of, especially the (hopefully) #2 vs. #3 game in the semis. It should be a good one!

Hastings will get 5, and Cretin 4...Hastings beat Eagan 2-1 back in December...

I believe their seeding meeting is today.
Prediction:
1. Rosemount- slipping but still deserving of #1
2. Woodbury- barely beats out EV with 6 in a row at the end
3. Eastview- good team with a tough schedule
4. CDH- a down year for them
5. Hastings- Beat Eagan early and a section win over Woodbury helps
6. Apple Valley- win over eagan last night gives them 6
7. Eagan- see above
8. Park Cottage Grove-play in
9. Sibley- play in

I think it goes:

1. Woodbury - finished 1st in conference and won last 6 games.
2. Rosemount - Finished 3rd in Conference, did beat Woodbury Early but if they would have finished 2nd i would have given them the top spot. Also they lost 3 of their last 4 --- maybe if they took one more win that would have given them the top spot but they didn't so that should play a role in the seeding.
3. Eastview - A given; not going to overtake Rosemount with 2 losses and cannot take Woodbury without playing them and finishing 5th in the Conf. --- This is the only sure prediction I can make.
4.CDH - split with Hastings but still takes this spot.
5.Hastings
6.AV
7.Eagan
8 & 9 - will get killed anyways.

Isn't it sad how a team like Lakeville South gains the top seed in a Section that really needs to be revised; no matter what happens we will never see all top 10 teams in the state because of the weak section.

Also maybe because only 8 teams make it to state! :)

I can see how you took it that way --- I mean that of the 8 teams we will never see all of those teams falling in the Top 10 because of such a weak conference, read with pauses it helps!

4.CDH - split with Hastings but still takes this spot.
CDH won both meetings, one 4-1 and the other 7-2.

Actually, it was 4-1 on Dec. 13th and 6-1 on Jan. 24th. Not that it really matters.

I know what you meant just giving you a hard time for how it was stated.
