Roseville v. Forest Lake 2/2/08

The last time these teams met up, Roseville won 3-0 on home ice. This time, the Rangers play host and had a nice win earlier in the week v. CDH followed by a loss to WB on Thursday.

1) Will Flake have enough gas to make this game a contest or will the Raiders prove to be too much?

2) Will Roseville’s Mueller notch his 3rd game in a row with a hat trick? (8 points v. Hastings on Thursday was impressive and helps the Raiders wipe away a terrible memory that occurred 12/20/07)

Forest Lake's fans were absolutely classless last night against White Bear. First, a handful of their fans mooned the WB section. Next, one of their fans was going to get kicked out by the police for having an airhorn and had to be physically removed because he wouldn't move. Lastly, the whole group (about 10-15 kids) went down right above WB's bench and was yelling at Sager. Sager turned and yelled at them, then they were kicked out by the police. Absolutely classless performance.

I always thought WB people bragged about how "active" thier fans are. Sounds to me like Flake took a page from the Bear's Fanbook.

There is a difference between "active" and "classless" we are active and haven't pulled anything classless like they did.

At least White Bear has a student section. Anyways, I was pretty impressed with Forest Lake's goalie against WB even though he gave up 5 goals. If he plays well i believe Forest Lake will come out on top.

Forest Lake - 3
Roseville - 2

Roseville wins this one 3-2 in OT and makes a push for the SEC title by doing just enough. The solid goaltending by Moberg (stopping 39 of 42) just wasn't able to 'get er done.' Roseville's Dettling comes up a stud in this one scoring at the 1:03 mark in OT to cinch it.

The Rangers have Johnson next while the Raiders host White Bear Lake.

Gawd I love this time of the year!

Nice prognostication, if you had in OT I would say almost good enough to pick the weather. Nice Job.

I'm not understanding the "infatuation" with the FLake goalie, unless you exclude consistency and being in position. All those (sometimes unnecessarily) acrobatic saves sure do get him noticed, and granted he has risen to the occasion, with the ample opportunity he's been given, to make his mark there. Do you think the 42 shots include the one where Mueller 5-holed him only to have it called off because the goal was off, with no one except Mueller and Moberg around?
