I was considering buying a pair of S15's but want some insight about them first. Those who use easton skates, what do you think?

Crap. They seemed like nice skates, but after a couple of weeks, they started falling apart. All the material came unglued and all the seems started ripping. Easton did warranty them, so we'll see how the second pair holds up. Hopefully it was a rare case.

I had the same problems, your best choice is to probably go with vapor 30's or 40's. My personal favorite were the vapor 20's, but i don't know if they make them anymore

Exactly, the new Eastons are a disaster, and are the cheapest made skates I have seen to date. They are just glued together, and its a bad type of synthetic.

I agree with the statement above, the Vapor 20's were my favs too. I recently bought the new Vapor XXV's and they are awesome. Other reccomendations if you dont like the vapor line, wait a few months the new CCM Vectors--they are suspose to be awesome.

there is no question the performance and pro quality is present with these skates. But for the $500+ price tag many other skates could be purchased.

Check this video of the impact testing between nikebauerone95's and the s15's.

if it was me with that money, i would buy a pair of graf supra 703's

ive never personally used them but i have heard they are some of the most comfortable easton skates. and judging by reviews and pictures they appear to be better built and put together

The second pair are holding up much better than the first. Thinking now it was just a bad pair. Nothing falling apart like the last pair and seem to be what we thought we were getting the first time.

those were great skates but I liked the ccm vector pros better.

The new s17's are coming out soon, and should be AMAZING. if you are in that price range you should wait.

From what I've heard the 1500's are really comfortable, easy to break in, and durable. I have yet to hear about the toes shattering from shots, but not saying it doesnt happen. They seem to be good skates, the one person i know that had S15's said they got a hole in them after about a month, easton warrantied them and he hasnt had any problems since the 2nd pair (since July).

What difference does it make that the S11's are made of Glass instead of Carbon like the S15's?

The rubber on the toes is ripping a bit, but all seams are intact. Only bad thing about them is they hurt like a mother blocking shots.

I've noticed the rubber on the toes is starting to tear...But they are great skates, you dont even really need the rubber on the toes, seems like thats the problem most people have with the skates but overall i dont think its a problem because the rubber there doesnt serve much purpose. I recomend these skates to anyone other than a forward who constantly blocks shots.
