I'll take Edina 4-2. However, I could see Tonka winning 2-1. It'll be a great game and I won't miss it.

Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't like Edina and it has nothing to do with the outcome today. Consider this.

These two games could go either way.
Edina is as close to awesome as you can get. They have arguably the top 5 players in the state. If they play as well as they can, they could take both games with Tonka and roll into state. They have to be considered favorites. Congrats to the green on a great season and great team.
Tonka is scary deep. They have a dangerous comination of speed, puck skills, physical play, size and goaltending. And they can just plain put the puck in the net. If they hit, and pound the puck at the net they may come out ahead.
My gut feeling? A split in the next two weeks, and the two teams may meet again at the X.
I'll be there, watching the best hockey on the planet.
Edina has an easier sedtion than Tonka. If Tonka is able to get by Hopkins, Eden Prairie, & Benilde then mark down Roseau, Hill, Tonka and Edina as the top 4 seeds at the X...but it's a loooong road!

Tonka is coming off yet another big win, against the holy grail. They have been playing extremely well as of late and should continue their strong play against the hornets. Edina arguably the most talented team in the state, has also been playing solid hockey recently. in my opinion there is a good shot that these two teams split the series, but in this first battle airing on TV, i'm going to take Tonka, in a 4-3 thriller. Tonka will need to contain Edinas first line, and Edina will have to look to do the same with Tonka's first line. Hope the game turns out to be as good as it has been advertised, will be fun to watch.

BSM, STA, AHA all in consecutive order. How did CDH and Hill not get scheduled in there too?

They did take down HM at the Xcel to win the Schwann's Cup.

Minnetonka is scoring 4.68 GPG and Edina is scoring 5.0 so the disparity in this department is miniscule. In net Buonomo has a 1.60 GAA and Caschetta a 1.585 so both teams match up well there. I think Edina may have an overall depth edge up front so imho they should be slightly favored, but both teams are playing extremely well, this is a good rivalry and hopefully the game will lead up to the hype.

I definitely think they will split the regular season series (each winning at home) and meet in the state semis as the 2 vs. 3 seeds. If they meet in state the edge would have to go to the hornets, who gained a lot of tourney experience following last years quarters showdown with GR.

The Hornets will win 6-0 running time minnetonka is a flash in the pants got lucky but teams with some gusto willnot underestimate and come out flyin. Minnetonks is just another hokins good but average. Gardiner is a joke. Just some forward who has got lucky He will be exposed as an average player also. Edina by 6 before the start of the third

How about redoing your screen name as "Dumb&Confused"? You are delusional to think Minnetonka could make it this deep into the season with just 2 losses and be a fraud.
Edina V Tonka

DadsMoney:
I also think the 2v3 game is looking like a Classic Lake Battle Royal
But don't forget, many of the current Tonka seniors played against Hill as sophomores in the State tourney 2 years ago, so they have some experience as well, not to mention the exposure the team got a t X in December in the Gold Division of Schwan's Cup....

He also said flash in the pants. And said Jake Gardiner was a forward. And misspelled Hopkins. Try to sound it out next time bud, it might help. Both teams are the real deal, although I do think Minnetonka's D will have some trouble with the high powered Edina offense. D Matt's made Gardiner look silly yesterday, so it will be interesting to see what happens against Everson, Buddish, Lee, etc... It'll be a barn burner.
