Yes, I would have to say Elk River is a definite threat.

Bemidji is playing pretty well since Sara Erickson returned and has had time to settle back into the lines.

Id consider Bemidji and Elk River both section favorites personally. I think Bemidji will take the section. Tech is dangerous with Kaasa in net

Good points. Here's how I see the teams but not how they should be seeded.
*Tech-Kaasa could steal a game in the playoffs but I don't think she can get two.
*Brainerd-I am wondering about Brainerd. They had a tough start but played Elk River tough recently.
*Bemidji-starting to put it together but needs to get healthy.
*Elk River- a tight game with Brainerd and a couple of losses lately at home
*Moorhead-good enough to pull an upset if a team looks passed them
*North Wright Co.-good defensive team and goalie is above average, can't score.
*River Lakes-decent goalie not much else
*Sartell-Sauk Rapids-maybe next year
*SC Icebreakers-upset Bemidji once this year, can they do it again?
Things could get interesting in 8AA.

"Bemidji is playing pretty well since Sara Erickson returned and has had time to settle back into the lines."
This seems pretty strong since they have not really been tested since she has returned. Good news is the section they play in isn't that outstanding either. How do you gauge their play against a DL or Northern Wright County?
I think Tech, Moorhead, or ER can knock them out. Even if healthy, they have not proven they can get it done consistently. I think they need to give an indication in their last 3 games of how up to the challenge they really are. Good luck Jacks

I have got to ask State Champ 97, winner of Big Games contest:
Who is going to represent 8AA at State?

SC couldn't hang with the "Big Boys", so he's gotta come in here and talk about the girls.

after having watched the top 5 teams in 8AA, I was the most impressed with bemidji. They hustled and worked the hardest. They also have erickson, which is a nice bonus haha. IMO, all top 3 teams have weak goaltending. Stcloud tech takes that category...

I think Elk River has a good shot at it.
