I think we need to wait until Thursday's games are done.

But....
If TRF wins on Thursday over Park Rapids, I would say ...

Warroad
Thief River Falls
Park Rapids
East Grand Forks
Bemidji
Crookston
LOW
Hallock
RLF
Walker-Bagley winner of their game(s)

If PR wins
Warroad
PR
Thief River
EGF
Bemidji
same....

If TRF wins big over PR then PR might fall to #4 and EGF will be #3.

Roseau/Moorhead in the section finals or Roseau/Brainerd? what do you guys think?

If I were to bet I would go with Roseau/Moorhead.
But I think Brainerd has a good chance to be there.
I think Buffalo could beat someone also (not Roseau).
So the seeding becomes important in that you want to be 2 or 3 and let someone else try and get Roseau bumped of first.

8AA

Well, if you want the second place trophy in your case, it matters.
If you want to go to the X, then change teams.

I agree. Its Roseau's section for the taking. Depends on which Brainerd team shows up if they play Moorhead in the semis. I think they lost pretty bad to Moorhead earlier in the season. I would also watch out for St Cloud Tech. They played Brainerd tough last night, I wouldn't want them in the first round.

My bet is it will be Tech & Buffalo.
They will beat up on each other and then one of them will have to face Roseau. Ouch!

Tech is not good. They have somehow found the ability to play much better than they actually are from time to time. If they could play that kind of game consistently, I would agree with you. But since they can't....I can't.

Year changes a lot doesn't it? I remember last year when one could a made a pretty good argument that the state tourney was decided at the 8AA finals, now...

It probably still will be. If Roseau makes it out of the section I see them taking state. If they don't, it's Edina's to lose. If Edina and Roseau both don't make it....hold on to your hats.

I believe that earlier in the year it was Brainerd 3 Moorhead 3... thats a pretty bad loss to me too. What do the rest of you think?

I thik Elliott is on the money on this. Roseau is obviously the number one seed

Moorhead and Brainerd are two and three and should be a great game. Home ice maybe not so critical in this since Brainerd already got the tie in Moorhead and seem to play uninspired at homw from time to time ie. Tech game.

Buffalo and Tech are four and five and will beat each other up. Home ice will be important in this one.

Of course the Moorhead/Brainerd game depends on them both beating the first round six and seven team. You never know, a key injury/illness or two and a team could be beat.
