#7 and #8 on lakeville should both be playing varsity at lakeville south its just that souths coach made a really big mistake cutting them. #7 would easily be the number one scorer on souths varsity, not a huge accomplishment but still, he was putting them past goalies on varsity all last year.

I've seen all three teams and any would be a close game... certainly not a blowout. Yes #7 & #8 are quality players but the RAVE & Wessy's have top players, too. The RAVE have some speedy guys that can fly by most teams and the Wessys are very physical. #8 from Lakeville has good hands but he sometimes floats and leaves his team out-manned in their zone. He's hungry for goals so he's the first one to the neutral zone.
Lakeville's #15 is a solid defenseman... but nobody is talking about him? He sets up a lot of the good things that happen on that team. That kids got good vision on the ice. The RAVE has an outstanding defenseman, as well. He's not big but he's physical and he reads the play better than most D I've seen at this level. When that kid is out there with the RAVE's top line they can really bust things open.

I agree with hockeystats a 100%. Both of those lakeville kids are great players. But theres still a lot of talent on that team from what I saw at their game against WBL in Rochester. Same with the kids from Wessy's, I noticed #2 immediately as a threat to the game.

Yes, I believe RAVE #2 is the player. He's not that big of a kid (but you wouldn't know it by the way he hits.) And he's pretty fast. He seems to find breaking forwards very well. I'll bet he's got a few points this year.

rave is redicously well rounded. good depth like that can take you far against opponents that rely on there top line for all the goals

Nice little shot at Lakeville there WBhockey. And by the way our second line contributes to the scoring. Last nite v.s Inver Grove, the top line had 4 goals and a goal was scored by each the 2nd and 3rd line. And if you think that you tied Rave, that you can go on here boasting how good Rave is, and how well rounded they are, we will just see at State. And by the way, Rave just beat Centennial by 1 goal and we beat Centennial 5 2 and it was one of our worst games of the year. I thought you were done bashing on Lakeville but I guess not, and come state tourney time, if you guys make it of course, you better be ready to back up all that talk.

ya of course i just totally bashed lakeville there saying that they suck and all. i guess all of my previous posts were i say lakeville is a great team mean nothing. i totally just said that ur 2nd line doesnt contribute at all, and i also mentioned that because we tied rave that we are amazing, u kno u r right on im just totally bashing lakeville hear, if u look at my last comment it is quite obvious i said all of that.
if u say that is all implied that would make u an idiot if u were to think that. i guess complementing teams other your own is very boastful. i mean jeeze ya rave must suck real bad if they havent losta conference game and theyre ranked 2nd in state.
its funny because u say that i am talking up my team were my comment did not even mention my team, all it did was complement a team that is very good in many areas of play and it is a team that never talks themselves up or talks other teams down. it doesnt compare games against other teams because u lost to wbl orange and they beat them that doesnt mean that they are better than u or u r better than them. when u 2 play each other then the team that wins will be better. i just have respect for teams like rave that are well composured and have gotten all there hap points on the season, and not once have they made an excuse about losing to a team. u immediatley say that the centenial game was the worst game u have played, what if rave was missing half a team and that was the worst game they played? or there were poor calls? or centenial plaayed there best game? Rave has less losses than u and if they tie teams or lose to them they dont make excuses.
I respect that.
do u?
or u gunna talk ur team up and say that im taking shots at lakeville in 2 sentences were the only team mentioned is rave?

I would caution comparing teams to other teams based upon common opponents. Like WBhockey said, you never know the factors that went into that game (injuries, penalties, missing players, a bad game from one team/other team playing their best game, etc.). I mean Blaine tied Edina; so other teams that have throttled Blaine must be better than Edina?!?! Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing anyone, I just think its hard (especially in JGB) to judge teams based upon common opponents.
