Just curious if anyone else works construction and is currently laid off, this is the 2nd year in a row for me and my days consist of waking up, going to the couch to watch most amazing videos on spike, then go out to my fish house to wet a line and usaully fall asleep out there and then i drive to the beverage mart to pick up the cheapest item and then i go home to stare at the computer then the T.V. and then i go to bed. Anyone else participate in this sounds wonderful but really isn't lifestyle?

Sorry to hear that Wendy - in a lot of ways I envy the work you guys do... I'd really rather not be stuck behind my desk. But then inevitably these stories pop up and it sounds like it really sucks.

Wendy,

Move your fishouse to a lake with fish and get the wife a better job so you're not fretting about it.

slim pickens on lakes with fish in the south metro and im afraid that if i load it up on the trailer one more time, that dinosaur of a fish house is gonna fall apart.

Govs- I go back to work on March 1st, so its only a 2 month layoff but sometimes i really wouldn't mind working in a office that was 68 degrees year round.

No idea why, but for some reason I really got a kick out of that.

Crazy thing is that most likely he will not be the only one laid off going forward.

Companies need to pick up some slack too. Otherwise we could have a fish shortage next?
