He's had a terrific year. That said, he's playing on a very good line and that helps.

He's definately a floater/suckhole/goalhound, but he's really good at it. He's got some bad habits that will need correcting at Harvard, but his talent is undeniable.

Best goal scorer i would have to say yes, best all around player, far from it.

I think you could have a lot of different "Best Goal Scorers". All they have to do is play on a line with Budish. Look what a great goal scorer Okposo was until Tyler Hirsch went off his meds and left the team.

Saw the game last night and he had a couple of nice goals. His first was a nice give and go from Budish and the last one he walked around the D and faked out the goalie and slid it in backside. Both goals were pretty impressive. Budish's goal was a nice snipe top shelf that the goalie had absolutely no chance on.

Anyways not sure what was wrong with their other linemate, another kid not on the roster was playing with them the first period and half-then noticed Lee playing with them, but I would have to say that Everson feeds off of Budish's playmaking abilities. Both kids have immense talent and scoring abilities, however it will be interesting to see what would happen if Budish was taken of his line(similar to Okoposo/Hirsch comment earlier).

All in all I would rank him in the top three as for pure goal scorers from the few games I have seen him play this year. Look forward to catching a few more of their games this year. By far one of the best lines in the state that i have seen in awhile-since Taffe, Welch and ? line.

Thats how his team plays him. He is a great scorer. He is also a good passer. He needs to fight in the corner more and carry the puck in the offensive zone.

He is a good player and is on Edina's penalty kill, so I am sure he can play defense if the team wants him to. He does benefit alot from playing with Budish, but he has such a good shot and is a very good goal scorer.

Mattson's on the fly one timer against Hill was sick. No one was stopping that one.

He's no slouch in the corner if you ask me. Some of his teammates are so good in the corners maybe he just looks bad by comparison. :D

I really don't see what others are saying in criticizing other aspects of his game. I'm not about to say he's the most complete player in the state or anything--I would agree there is plenty he can work on. Still his all around game is very good. It's his hands that make him so dangerous, though.

.
I believe that the other linemate, Connor Gaarder, is sick He also recently served a suspension for leaving the bench during a fight in their game against Wayzata.
