No reason to rip any kids here but the 93 list is missing some nice talent, how about Ambros, Boyd, and Jensen, and you've got at least one 94 on your list.

Mcloven can't score and can't stay out of the penalty box..he's no where near this list and won't be next year or the year after that...etc...etc..

Hype

by Marty McSorely
What's all the hype about? These boy's haven't discovered the world of Grades, Girls, Beer and Dope. 1/4 will screw thier lives up, 1/4 have psycho parents that will screw them up.They are barely into building strength. Calm down Patience is the key.

They may be good now but they are in the vitial years of life and time will tell.

The list is of prospective players believed to have potential to play in either the USHL, or high level college hockey. Most of the players on the list have been seen by USHL scouts. Some made this list by reputation or recommendation. I can say with certainty that you don't make the list unless you are believed to have at least that potential. I will also say that not every single player in the country has been seen as that would be impossible. Players at all levels slip through the cracks. But, if you're good enough, someone will eventually find you.

Making a big deal out of it is exactly what they tell you not to do. Bashing someone that's on it shows two things. Your own jealousy and immaturity, and also your lack of knowledge on the subject. Don't turn this thread into one that leads to insults about kids who are on the list or complaining about the ones who didn't make it.

Get on the USHL website and take a look at who is doing their scouting. This is not a bash on them, but it shows you why some kids on certain teams or in certain areas have been seen while others haven't. There are even coaches of some '93 teams on there.

I think GR 3343 has this one nailed. Good job.

Sounds like both lists are missing "Sniperman25". Maybe Gopher5 found a new name. Nice 4th post by the way.

Marty my man, couldn't of said it better. Generally boys that show up on any USHL list this young skate for tier-1 teams in season or skate summer tier-1 tourneys which display all the stat's and rosters via internet for parents to drool over. Do you really think the USHL scouts bantam district games ? Been there done this, look if you get on the "diaper dandy list" that's good, but don't forget getting on the list while your a Jr. & Sr. in high school is when it will really benefit you.

I have to believe that this list is mostly by recomondation. I know some of the names on this list are not dominate Bantams or even JV players. Some on the list are very good and contibuting to their varsitys. It is nice perk but don't get to high if you are on it or to low if you are not. Lots of developing happening to the young lads at this age.
