In Minnesota highschool there are many great hockey players. Yet many great players have not been commited. Which players do you think are the best that have not been commited by a college hockey team yet?

Juniors or Seniors or both?

Beau Hanowski, I'm pretty sure he's a beast at baseball, and will end up playing that in college, but I'm not sure.

If I were recruiting, the best available individual would be Anders Lee from Edina.

Here are some others:
Zach Budish - Edina (UM or UND probably)

UMD possibles:
Jake Johnson - Duluth Denfeld (UMD can't miss this kid)
Anthony Decenzo - Hibbing
Dano Jacques - Duluth Marshall (a couple years of juniors and he'll be WCHA ready)
Justin Jokinen - Cloquet

UM/Mankato/SCSU possibles:
David Eddy - Woodbury
Tyler Pitlick - Centennial
Alec Rush - Eden Prairie (he'' be able to pick whoever he wants)
JT Brown - Rosemount (the way he and his team is playing, it won't be long)
Tom O'Donnell - Bloomington Jefferson

There are so many good hockey players out there beyond this short list. A lot of talent out there waiting for somebody to find them. A lot of kids from Minnesota end up in the ECAC because they are very smart, I bet that trend will continue.

Nick Larson is playing in the USHL this season.

I don't believe he will be heading to UMD unless someone has a change of heart. I heard that UMD offered him a partial ride... they were then told that was a slap in the face. I guess he's still looking for a full ride elsewhere.

Let's rephrase this and ask who has been committed?

While were at it, let's change the topic to Which player who is real good that has not made a commitment to play hockey after high school.....

Has Furne from Hill or Nelson from Roseau been committed yet? Seriously though- anyone looking at these kids?

I would have to guess that no one that plays hockey in Minnesota has been committed.....I would guess though that there are a lot of kids that have committed to play at a college or organization. I certainly would not want to be committed for playing hockey. Anyone? Anyone?

He committed to South Dakota State for baseball.

In my Opinion Budish is the big sleeper still (PLEASE BE A GOPHER!)

my main picks that I am watching are:

JT Brown - an awesome player, but I am not surprised he hasn't been picked yet, he would need at least 1 year juniors and some maturing as a team player.

O'Donnell - An all-arounder, however I have spoke to friends of Toms and they have said he wants to play D3 and is more career oriented than hockey oriented.

McManus - I am not positive if he hasn't committed, but in my opinion the only real hot pick out of Rosemount.

Alec Rush - After what he did to EP earlier, I am not sure as a scout I would watch him more as a possible liability or an asset

What about Hahn from Warroad?

Furne and Cecka of H-M will more than likely get some good looks while in the USHL next year, that is if they both choose it as their destination.

After watching the Duluth Marshall v St Thomas Academy game last Saturday, I'm wondering what's waiting for Marshall's Lanny Olson. Solid defenseman who should be on this list.
