Does Red River have a legitimate chance of beating Roseau

Every team has a chance to beat another team. Last I looked all games start at 0-0. I will pick Roseau.

This will be the toughest game on Roseau's schedule.

GFRR, Blaine (@ LOW), and the last 4 (to include the state championship game) will be the toughest the Rams face.

I would say they would have a very good chance to beat Roseau. Red River totally took it to Jefferson when they played up there, the Jefferson goalie had a great game to take them to a shoot out which Jefferson won but Red River should have won that game from what I heard.

Red River 3, Roseau 2. Red River would contend for the Minnesota title.

yeah i also was told roseau totally dominated jefferson. the same guy said rr dominated jefferson. he told me the roseau game looked to be more like a 5-1 and rr should have won by two. rr will not win this game look for it to be the turning point with this ram team. this team is notorious through the years for pulling it all together late in the season i look for this game to be the begining of that run to be in top form by ifalls.

Watachdog I think your wrong on the Jefferson vs Rosseau game. I don't think 5-1 was what the score could have been, I heard it was pretty evenly matched which the score reflected.

I was at the Jefferson game, and Roseau did dominate throughout most of the game. It was also one of the worst games I have seen Roseau play this season.

I don't know what you guys are talking about by saying Jefferson was dominated...last time i checked the BEAT Red River and it took roseau until the last .2 seconds of the third for them to win it, i also believe the Jags took it to roseau for most of the third......so thats, that but to the original topic...roseau is the better team, they have better defensemen and Ness will shut down Red River's Offense

Rams 4
Riders 2

Roseau: 3
RR: 1
(Possible EN goal)

RR is good, but Roseau is better. RR could contend for the title, but Roseau is the better team.

I would be willing to bet it'll be closer to a one goal win for RR than a 15 goal win for Roseau.

Roseau-6
RR-1

RR may be able to compete with a few MN teams but Roseau is hitting on all cylinders right now. There is no reason this game should be closer than 3 or 4 goals even with RR being that good. I cant wait to see what happens in this game but IMO Ness will have 3 points and shut down the offense of RR.

The Rams historically have trouble across the river....I think this is where the Rams get the season reality check....I say Red River 3-1.

I'm going to have to disagree with this post. I'm going to go with the RR 3-2.

Roseau didn't even get 15-0 against Farmington did they?
Hah.
I'll put money on a close game, but Roseau by 1 with the EN still. :)

Toughest Game Yet this Year

Will Red River win? I don't know. Could they win? The easy answer to this question is yes, Red River could win this game. I believe it will be the toughest game yet for the Rams. We will be playing on their home ice. We have historically performed under our abilities on their ice. The Rams 1990 State Championship team lost to Red River 2-1. The Rams outplayed the Roughriders, but came out on the losing end. RR would go on to win the ND state championship. At the end of the year, Red River players and fans were wearing shirts with the following:

North Dakota State Boys Hockey Champs 2
Minnesota State Boys Hockey Champs 1

In other words, this is a HUGE game for Red River. Lets face it, beating Roseau would be bigger than winning the North Dakota championship. They are an extremely talented team this year. If you look at who they've played, and how well they've done, you know they are good. They have a lot of fire power. Roseau will have to avoid the stupid penalties, and play stingy on defense to win. Here's my prediction:

Roseau 4
Red River 3
