i think it would be great for the wild to draft another home state player like ness from roseau. what are some of your thoughts?

I don't think the Wild will take Ness, probably Gardiner.
Though I know the Saint Cloud Times said Risebrough went to see Ness play.

I think Ness is too small to be a productive defenseman in the NHL. However I would love to see him prove me wrong.

Not really it's just his weight right now, which by the time he's NHL ready he should be around 180 to 185.
There's not much difference between 5'9 and 5'10.

Detroit Brain Rafalski 5'10 190
Colorado John Michael Liles 5'10 185
2nd Tier 5'10 or smaller defenseman.
Colorado Kyle Cumiskey 5'10 187

Who do you guys think will go higher in the draft, Ness or Gardiner?

Is Ness old enough for the draft? That wouldn't surprise me, but it would make him real old for his grade.

He is eligible. He would have started his "senior" season next fall already 19 years old from what I've been told.
