8A has been taking a mild spanking from teams abroad so far, however, I do like Warroad to defend home ice here.

White Hawks 3, Warroad 1
White Hawks 2, Hibbing 1
But it is on Warroad's home big ice, and common, IT'S SECTION 8A!
Warroad 3, Hibbing 1

That WhiteHawk 3 - 1 win was an EN with .4 seconds left not that it matters and a costly error by one of the blueliners gave them the go ahead with about a minute left; who it was doesn't matter. However that costly error may do more good in the long run as I think the player who made it has picked up his game since then. Warroad didn't win that game because they had Mound on the ropes in the second and couldn't put them away.
The Friday night match-up should be a great HS hockey game. Warroad's seniors that have played since sophomores haven't beaten the Jacket's yet and this is their last chance.

Hibbing doesn't have a good enough goalie or defense to win a big game.

This was no upset...this was a down behind the woodshed beating Hbbing took. Plain and Simple.
