What's the scene like in Jaguar land? (I'm 500 miles away and need updates other than just looking at box scores). Nice couple of wins lately, I know Lindquist wasn't all too happy about the Kennedy game but things look to be on the up and up.

That's cuz Cuda is w/o a computer at the moment. I have heard rumors of a possible return in the next few weeks. Set your VCR's and get your popcorn ready...

This is a team that is playing well. 7 sophomores made the team, good captain leadership. Goaltending may be a question. They will surprise some people.

The Jags have started off their year pretty good, tough loss againist b'ville right off the bat to begin the year but have won 4 straight since then including a nice win versus the Irish...looking ahead at their schedule they could be somewhere in the range of 7 or 8-1 up until christmas time

Agreed, Jefferson has a lot of talented Soph's.

They should be pretty solid in the coming years.

Early season scrimmages dont mean alot. Who knows who was playing for each team. Some teams use those as tryouts, some play the kids who are Vars/JV bubble kids and some play there full varsity squad.

Red River must a team from North Dakota or something because i honestly had no idea who they were until i saw them on the jags schedule....and they must not compete in the MSHSL cuz otherwise more would be said about them if they truly played that well againest roseau

They are a North Dakota team from Grand Forks. Don't know anything more.

Red River is a very very good team year in and year out. I was hoping Roseau would get to play Bloomington Jefferson, but the odds are not that good. I would pick Roseau against Red River for the ship in this tourney unless the Jags can upset the Riders. :? Then Roseau over the Jags. See ya at the Ralph!!

Does someone know where I can find the schedule for this tournament?

There is only 4 teams in the Tournament. GFRR, GFC, Roseau, and Bloom.Jefferson. Roseau plays Grand Forks Central and RR plays Jefferson in the first round

I think Lindquist did some fine tuning with the X-mas tourney schedule so he can be up north with his family for the holidays. Otherwise, I have no explanation for them to be up at the Ralph playing these teams. They're good teams and should be great competition but you can get that and then some at the Schwan's...

i think jefferson is a very good team but the only thing that might hurt them down the road is having alot of sophmores. making varsity as a sophmore is tough you have to be good to make that jump but very few sophmores can contribute as a key role on a varsity team. jefferson has a bright future but as of now i see them finishing third or fourth in the lake

I feel Jefferson is a pretty solid team. I have seen them play a couple of times. Good forwards, solid "D", and a decent goalie. I feel they will finish in the top 3 in the Lake but the section is brutal, I honestly don't see them getting past the semi's in the section. Just my opinion. Watch out though, in a couple of years, they will be the team to beat in the section (if it stays the way it does after next year).
