Preseason Rankings???

Anyone else wonder where the preseason rankings for JGB came from? Not to take anything away from those 10 programs, but I'm pretty sure most of the teams are still going through the tryout process at this moment (or have just finished up). How can you rank teams that technically don't even exist yet???

The only team that is in the same position as last years is Inver Grove and I'm sure White Bear and Wayzata will have 2 teams again.

looks like Wayzata is going with 1 team at the B level.

Chaska is not fielding a JGB team this year.

Hastings didnt have enough kids to field two teams so they are just going with a A team this year no B. Woodbury is also fielding 2 B teams and 1 U16. SSP has a B team this season after not having one las season.

Wessy's Boys, Forest Lake, Elk River, and Crow River are fielding JGB teams this year.

Inver Grove is ranked #1 for B because they were the state champs last year

2 Eden Prairie
3 Edina
4 White Bear Orange
5 Rosem-ApV-Eastview(RAVE)

9 Eagan
10 Minnetonka

IGH was ranked #1 in the preseason rankings. Since then the rankings have changed and will continue to change. Rankers early on go off of what teams did last season and history of who is good year in and year out. Tartan wont be ranked come next week and Roseville should be moved into the top 10

The rankings should start changing soon for JGB.
Recently (#2) EP lost to (#5) RAVE by a score of 4-0.
