As in Mite tourneys for travel Mite programs or the actual association playoffs for communities that have them?

I know there are plenty of tournaments where I am. Not so many in Minnesota.

I'm looking for a couple Mite tourneys for the kids. This would be seperate from our association.

Not a lot of tourneys for Mites? I would think this would be a good fundraiser.

Question for Mite coaches: Would you sign your team up for a Mite tourney?

There are NO mite tourneys in Minnesota.

A mite jamboree may be held for those teams in your natural hcokey community (basically district with some modifications).

Elliot- Thanks! That makes sense. I had a co-worker last year tell me that his sons team from Eastview played in a Mite tourney in Bloomington. I think that's a great idea.

I wonder why my local association doesn't promote this tourney?

How about Wisconsin? Does anyone know of any tourneys for Mites in Wisconsin?
Are Minnesota Mites allowed to play in Wisconsin?

Thanks!

Minnesota mites are not allowed toplay in Tournaments.
They are not allowed to play outside of their natural hockey community.
D16 mites will play in Grand Forkds and Grafton, but they use the MN Hockey jamboree rules (less emphasis on winning and more on fun). LOW-Baudette will go to Emo Ontario, but same as above.
The D16 mites get permission from D16 director to leave the district.

Mite jamborees are a huge success in terms of fun for the whole family.
If handled properly the local assn can make money.
The kids feel like winners regardless of what has happended on the ice.
It gives them more confidence and a lot of fun which provieds potential for harder work which can create better hockey players.
