This is a showcase program. They do not put their name on it. They are trying to make it look like it is an independant team. Showcase has never been able to put together teams that can skate with programs like the Machine or the Blades. My guess is that they are trying to put together some real AAA teams, it will be hard for them because Showcase is all about the money. They don't have the passion it takes to build teams.

Like them or not, if you look at the Machine or the Blades the guy that run those programs have a huge passion for what they do. That's what it takes to win in Canada or Michigan. I don't see that over on the showcase side of things.

predators are done : so this is a instrument being played by Bob Capra and Showcase to field another level. Some of the ages are already picked, such as a ICEMEN team taking a year, and Predator as well

Obviously showcase knows their teams talent as they have been invited to the invite showcase trnys

So does this mean that the Predators and Icemen are merging to form these Easton teams? What years are already formed?

I agree Breakout about this. It seems like no one is it for the money more than the people at Minnesota Made. At least no different than the Blades, MASH, Showcase or others in the spring and fall. What about the people running the three on three leagues? I suppose that they are in it for the kids also while they are driving around in their Mercedes Benz. I noticed in the Let's Play Hockey that there is now a AAA team called the Magicians as well as many other ones. Minnesota Made must love the kids and all others love the money I guess. Why would anyone think that Minnesota Made is any different than anyone else running clinics or leagues? I think that most people who run hockey leagues, clinics, and facilities have to have a passion for it. I wish that the Blades, Showcase, or someone else would run something in the winter in 2008-09. Does Showcase or anyone else run AAA leagues in the North Metro or just the regular spring and fall type teams?

I don't know that you would want AAA hockey in the winter that way. If so, have your kid(s) tryout for Shattuck or the Wisconsin Fire.

If you talk to hockey people around the country, Minnesota hockey is envied. I have spoken to hockey parents from Arizona and California. They commit 15K per kid for their kids to play on top level teams. That does not include parent travel expenses. A top level team in the Chicago area pays their coach (former NHLr) 20K per season to coach the team. Parents pay roughly 15K per season per kid to be on that team.

Consider enjoying association hockey and letting the kids have fun. If you are inclined, do the AAA hockey in the summer. Again, let the kids have fun and encourage improvement.

Keep in mind, the grass is not always greener on the other side
