the vikings have a good chance at winning this one if they produce some offense. what do you guys think?

by George Blanda
that's correct...and that's how every game will be this year. If they can actually get a touchdown or two from their offense, they'll always have a good chance of winning.

Getting those two offensive touchdowns will always be tough with Tavaris under center.

So...I'm predicting a Chiefs win, with one offensive TD for the Vikes (AP)...and one defensive TD...

9-6 with the chiefs with a last second FG

more of an offensive struggle than defensive battle

This is a joke...quoting yahoo sports on who will play QB today.By JON KRAWCZYNSKI, AP Sports Writer
"But Childress is withholding that information from the rest of the team, and the public, for now. The coach said Friday that he doesn't want to take away the competitive advantage he feels he has by keeping the decision a secret."

Advantage??? if it's an advantage why didn't this secret advantage QB play earlier..that's absurd. :?

I'll take the Vikes if it's Kelly H. at the QB spot by 7 pts...but if it's either of the other 2 which i'm pretty sure it's not.... I'll have to say Chiefs will win at home by the same margin.

Defense will prove once again that they need some D backs that can cover...

Go Vikes!!

1932 version of whatever they were called then.

Evidentally, Philly was settled by a large contingency of Swedes (I didn't know that), thus the blue and gold colors.

A TD would have been nice after the takeaway but a two score lead is big.

we should of had that touchdown that Shiancoe caught. hold on to the ball peterson. otherwise i thought we looked pretty good

That was just plain terrible...
6 min. left in the 3rd qtr. they figured out the Vikes weakness, throw short passes..or for that matter any pass.
AP played ok except the fumble.
I will be suprised if they actually win another game this year.
And I think they got robbed on a TD that would have been the difference at least to send it to OT.
But my gawd you have to score more then 10 flippin points a game...they're doomed.
Looks like ice fishing for me on Sundays this year.

The 2001 Carolina Panthers won their first game of the year (ironically against the Vikes) and then went on to lose their next 15 games.

I think the Vikings have a real shot at this, it is going to be hard with their run defense as great as it is, but I think the Offense and Childress will find a way.

Harumph. Game 3 and were talking about how high in the draft we'll be.

PB is right, receiving is the achilles on this team. Randy's replacement is inactive while SI reports...
Moss became the first receiver in NFL history to gain at least 100 yards receiving in each of his first three games with a new team. He also has five touchdowns and finished the day with five catches for 115 yards.
Childress sucks as bad as the recieving corps. Oh, and nice sunglasses Brad.

Yeah, I thought Childress was supposed to be an offensive coach. Frankly, I'm offended by the offense that the Vikings are putting out on the field.

And it's pretty clear, as it was last year, that the Vikings defense has an Achilles heel defending the pass. Brett Favre must be licking his chops thinking about the chance to face these guys two times this year. Still the defense played well enough to win yesterday but were let down by the punchless offense.

That was a catch everyone saw it!!! What people don't realize is that was the turnaround of the Game. I told myself that if the Vikes loose by less then 4 points due to that call I would be pissed and I am. The NFL Refs Suck if they can't make a simple call like that then how gives a crap. Looks like the NFL Refs should be investigated on betting just like the NBA. Sorry had to Vent due to that horrible Call!!!

Venting is good! IF... but Even ifs, ands, or buts 10 pts per game is not!
Like I said before, that was not the turning point IMO it was late in the 3rd when KC finally gave up on their game plan of running the ball, and started throwing it..this exposed the Vikes weakest point........ pass coverage...and we are truly horrible at it...they give 5-10 yrd cushions because they are scared to get beat deep...so two 5 yrd pass plays and you got a 1st down right?? repeat the process a bunch a times and you put together a drive or 2......it's a good thing they didn't come out passing early or they would have beat us by 21.
Also with the exception of Winfield the D backs can't tackle either.

We also have no QB. All I know for sure is "It's not Bob Schnelkers fault"

The Vikings are easy to beat.

Stack up against AP and make them throw. They have no QB nor WRs so its hard to do.

Dont even bother to try and run the ball. The front 4 has no sack threats and the DBs are average at best.

Thats what you are gonna see for the next 13 games, if you have the nerve to watch.

I said it before and I'll say it again... These past 2 games were their last good chances to win this season. Somebody find me another win in their remaining schedule:

Green Bay (x2)
Chicago (x2)
@ Dallas
Philly
San Diego
Oakland
@ Giants
Detroit
@ SF
Washington
@ Denver

Maybe Oakland? Even they have a passing game though, so I wouldn't hold my breath on that either.

Look at the good side, better chances at getting Booty or Brohm in the draft.

13 or 14 pts is all it takes in the NFL? I don't think so.
I'm not saying he didn't make the catch...I believe he did,
but how about not over throwing a wide open receiver in the end zone...

They made enough other mistakes.
One way to take the refs out of the game is to put up 30+ pts so that one error doesn't determine the game :?
