Yeah, I think he should be there to publicly announce there will be an asterisk by his name for all time . That would be nice.

what would be an A hole thing to do? Put an asterisk by the name of a cheater? Right.

He's 3 away, and hit 2 the other day. He could do it any day. So does that mean to not be an "a**hole" he needs to go to every Giants game?

Bud Selig and Barry Bonds are both A-holes that deserve each other. You can't put an asterisk by his name if they have never proven that he cheated. (Which I think he did) Then again, like I've said before, Mr. Selig very possibly could know that he cheated, but all the publicity he is bringing to the sport, Bud is just begrudginly keeping his mouth shut. Remember, the only bad publicity is no publicity. If Selig puts Bonds on the shelf, there will be less to talk about, hence less attention to the sport.

I dont know if the commissioner needs to follow him around.

But I think he ought to 'pretend' like this is a big deal for baseball's sake.

Or he could just come out and say that Bonds is a steroid user so we arent recognizing any of this.

But hey Bud, take one approach or the other.

You think banning him from the game wouldn't draw controversy? If he hasn't technically been caught, I suppose you can't get rid of him, but it sure would keep people talking for the longest time.

They should be punished too. I really hope the Twins tops aren't using, because that would be horrible, but I think if you do something illegal, or break a rule of the sport, you should be kicked out indefinitely. Just my opinion.

Not saying you're wrong, obviously innocent until proven guilty, but if he didn't use roids, how do you explain his head, his 2nd 10 years being more productive than his first after a steadily declining great first ten years, his size in general, and how he has yet to give an explanation for it? If I did that and it was just from shakes and lifting I'd just let people know what my work out is, clear it up, and move on. We can't prove his guilt (probably something they don't test for yet, in my opinion) and he hasn't (or can't) prove his innocence. Doesn't that say something?

Bug Selig will need an asterisk by his name also in the record books.
The guy is holding on till retirement and wants to go down for the pay increases, attendance increases, TV revenue and just product awareness.
The best that ever-was in that seat of authority. So he will just sit on that seat.
He could give a sh++ if the players start dying in years to come, he acted stupid (closed eye) to the health of his employees. For the good for the game.

Just like where players play, there should come a time when the health and honesty of the game should come before the money made from it. Not a fan of fake wrestling at all, but those guys are probably bigger than they have ever been, but also many have been caught using steroids and one has killed his family possibly because of them. Sure, it may sell more, but the health of the employees and the validity of the rules have to come first.
