Get Ballard back in MN

Keith Ballard is still a restricted free agent with the Phoenix Coyotes, and what be a great asset on the blue line this season for the Wild. What would the Wild need to do to pick up this young talent?

should they sign? Yes.
will they sign? Most likely no. One, Minnesota doesn't seem to like to really spend and two, I don't think Phoenix is going to let him go.

If the Wild are going to sign another Minnesotan I would hope they wait and sign Leopold when he becomes available instead of Ballard.

I've seen Ballard play since his days in High school, just think a HEALTHY Leopold would be a better fit for Wild RT NOW. Realistically, I think the signing of Hill is probably the closest we are going to get to a Minnesotan on Def. for the next couple yrs. But anything can happen.
