The tourny is July 20-22. Not sure of the teams yet. Hermantown, & Hibbing played last year and I think they are returning. Two of the Jacks goalies ( Baker & Dunaisky ) are out with injuries.

I don't think this Dunaisky kid would have been playing anyway, from what I have seen.

I could be wrong, but I thought that he was favored to back-up Baker and most of these Summer tournaments teams give equal playing time to their goalies.

Your probably right. But I think there is a goalie I'm not sure of his first name but his last name is Thompson, that is pretty good. From stats that I have looked at, Thompson had a lot more playing time in the regular season. Where did you hear that dunaisky was the favored back up?

Why isn't it a bracket? There could easily be ties this way.

I watched the BSM - Denfeld game tonight. Very one sided in all aspects of the game. The score ended up 8 - 0 BSM. Denfeld was missing Jake Johnson & two of their top D. I still don't think they could have come close even with them.

I also noticed that AJ Underwood from Greenway was skating with Hermantown...

Cloquet over Hibbing 7 -4... Another one sided game. The Jacks were up 7 - 1 then Hibbing got a few late goals. After their first line, Hibbing couldn't keep up the pace.

Anyone know why you'd have a tournament not a bracket?

Eagan beat Buffalo in a shootout after a 0-0 tie and Beat Hibbing 4-0...Buffalo Beat Cloquet in a shootout after a 3-3- game...Buffalo scored with 6 seconds remaining to tie it..BSM won easily again..BSM, Eagan Cloquet and Buffalo seem to be tournaments best teams..

That doesn't really answer my question. It could possibly come out with a few teams at 2-1, or something like that. Then who won?

It's summer hockey! As long as I remember these games are just scrimmages. Lines are normally rolled regardless of situations and many kids that will not see any varsity ice get to play.

Well there ya go. An answer at last.

But why does what season you play the sport in matter? Hockey's hockey and they're in a tournament.

He played solid in the one game I saw him... In the same game Joe Krause from Hermantown was in the penalty box and tried to get out & go into the stands after a heckling fan.

Did he get out or was he held back? What the heck was the fan saying to make him pop?
Did he get a longer sentence because of this?
