That was just an old fashioned classic trip to the Bronx. Dominant starting pitching from an overweight old man, Damon getting on to start the game and scoring, quick 1-2-3 innings, generous home scoring for Jeter and anyone else in need of batting points, deep HR's, poor fielding, Robinson Cano reaching base seemingly everytime, starting pitcher having to weezle out of trouble every inning, and last but not least, Mariano Rivera breaking bats.
Only three more to go.

Anyone else think A-Rod pushed Morneau in the back as he ran through first base. The Throw was high, not up the line, there was no reason for Morneau to have gone down. If you see the replay again watch A-Rod's left hand. If it's AJ instead of A-Rod, there would be a bench clear tonight.
Conclusion: A-Rod is a weezle and the players know it, Yankee and otherwise.

I agree. He had to hobble around to make it look good.

3 walks and a single in one inning can't even push one across.

Not bad Joe, you got 6/8 tonight in your 8-0 victory.
Nothing gets the Yankees on track better than some home dates with the Twins.
Only two more left......until the playoffs.

Wow, that was one bad run but they got a big one to start the game today.
Let's go Johan keep hanging them. I can't think of a more fitting team on a more fitting day to get this thing going the other way.

This is Atlantis to tower, "We have touchdown".
Twins 6, Yankees 2
Kubel and Rodriguez out Yankeed the the Yankees and Johan does what Johan does best.

Through two innings today, Joe has numbers 3, 5, & 6 covered and number 7 is nearly a lock.
Robinson Cano can do whatever he wants against the Twins and here he comes with a man at 2nd. Just walk him, please.

Not this time, he pulled a Kubel, 4-3.

This Igawa character for the Yankees is really bad, he won't be pitching for the Yankees much longer. He walks a .202 hitter who is 0 for his last 22 and gives up consecutive hits on 1-2 counts.
Good comeback Twins, Gardy go to the pen now, Slowey's not the answer today.

I wished I would have brought the Maalox today.

2 on 2 out, Slowey exits stage left as the Portly Portsider comes in to keep the score all square.
Get this out Dennys.

No doubt. Every inning they threaten.
Reyes gets Matsui to pop out, nicely done.

Top of eight, we need to hang a number here. Preferably a crooked one.
