Johan Santana, LHP, (8-6) 2.83 ERA vs. Justin Verlander, RHP, (9-2) 2.78 ERA

Game Two, Saturday, 2:55 PM (FOX)

Methinks this series may not go that well, but if the wife tries to pull me away from the tube with the pitching matchup tonight... she's going to pull back a stump. Image

Tigers take 2 of 3 - Twins win tomorrow.

I dont like the pitching matchups but win on at least. To go 9 down would be devastating. These series are big. They could be 9 behind or 3 behind on Monday.

What is the key for the Twins this series?

I'm not going to predict anything but I will make a request. Hey Johan, give us a Complete Game Shutout tonight before the national spotlight beams in on Saturday and Sunday.

Sit down Magglio, that pitch was right there! I guess Johan Cristos has the Tigers all concerned about the perimeter of the strike zone tonight.

Meanwhile, Verlander has put down 11 straight.

Game #1 to the Twins.
Not a CGS, but pretty darn acceptable.

Gameballs go to Johan and Mauer.

That is a huge win considering two younger, more unproven guys throw in the national spotlight the next two games.

MIN 19...DET 6

It's been good sailing through the first two.

Got to like the results that come from the long ball.

Series win against the Tiggers is big.

A sweep will get them nervous.

The sweep was in the Jaws but they just couldn't clamp down.

Great outing for the young man.

Bring on them Stripes!

Way to go Scott. He is really starting to pitch well.

Baker definitely deserved a win tonight.then again so did Bonderman. When you throw 8 innings and only give up 1 you should be getting wins, but we wasted all our runs in the earlier games.
