WILD 1st Pick? Gillies or should they have taken Cherepanov

Ok, Do you think the WILD should have picked up Cherepanov. The proven goal scorer, RANKED #1 in the European Scouting service and ranked fifth among all prospects in the draft. Instead of going off the board as the TV commeater said with Gillies who was at 30th on North America.
