If they do split I don't think that either team will be very good, maybe average, even if they do stay together I don't think that they have a legit shot at state.

They won't be splitting this year. They will be moving forward with the split in the 2008-09 season.

yes you do blueblood!

........but note how I stated my post

......he has just been going to the camp

no mention of going to school there
just testing the hockey kids' summer reading comprehension skills and stirring the pot which I'm want to do!
The big question would be, why would I want to spend 10,000 a year for a great education when he's already not making the most out of a decent public education?
You know how rumors get started
got your message - well hook up soon

Summer camp squads scrimmaged each and the games were close
HF is very quick.
I think Monday was a 4-4 tie against the anticipated varsity players and Tuesday was 4-3 Chaska.

H.F. may be quick but the real question is if they will have a decent goaltender this year, or not...

The 9th grader should do just fine and has been working extremely hard at the GoalCrease.

in regards to the scrimmages last week between chaska and holy families potential varsity players you have to remember brad hand has not been at any camp sessions this summer, i believe he is projected to be the number one guy for chaska. there was a big hole in chaska lineup. mattson has been skating this summer with the chaska group but he will be leaving soon for ann arbour. my son has been skating and working with the chaska camp this summer so he is well up to speeed on how they will look this year. first year coach steve olinger has a big task ahead of him. wishing him nothing but sucess this season.

ya i was at both the games between Holy family and chaska. The first one was close and it might of ended in a tie. The second game was won by holy family tho. The freshman goalie from chaska, Laprade looked good and the other goalie hanson allowed more goals then him so the starting spot is up for grabs. holy family has a solid team overall.

Is Laprade the freshman goalie for H.F.?

i really dont think it matters who holy family gets i think they will struggle in the WCC again this year especially against teams like SCC, Orono, and Mound Westonka. SCC will of course be tough, Orono lost a lot but also return alot from last years conso champions in state, and lets not forget the scores of the games between orono HF last year, and mound returns lots and lots of speed and firepower only losing Dunn and Horgan on Defense.

Wait until the Waconia/Holy Family split happens, next year. Both programs will really be hurting. Waconia does have some kids coming up through the program, however, and I would expect them to be pretty good within a few years. It'll be a proud day, next Fall, when the Waconia Wildcats take to the ice for the first time, on their own!!!!!!!
