I was watching NHL on NBC and they were talking about this guy i dont know his name but anyway he got suspended for a game. What they said was you could only get suspended if you got 2 misconducts or something like that one was for a cheap hit but my question is the second one was for not wearing a fight strap what is that i have ever heard of that?

It's a strap on the back of the jersey that snaps onto the pants. It prevents the jersey from coming off in a fight. There are pics of jerseys with fight straps on ebay:
