Maybe Larry's going back to Richfield.

I apologize for interupting the school bus discussion!
Larry was in the last year of his contract at BSM. I know he was fairly unpopular with both the players and parents, so I would not be surprised if they parted ways. Having said that, I have not heard anything solid about his departure.

Would that be the short bus or the long bus?
3 year contracts?

They may have had a three year "agreement" - but there is no such thing as a three year contract in high school sports. All coaches are on year contracts. Interesting on who the Red Knights will get next.

Didn't they have a high profile player get cut from the team this year for some discipline issues? I thought that I read that on this forum around Decemberish.

My "insider trading" secrets reveal Larry's health is failing. Also this Reilly guy from Chaska has squeezed his way into being Larry's assistant last year because his kids are transferring from Breck to Benilde next year. His kids played bantams at Chaska. Good, skilled players but very small. Reilly has the reputation in Chaska as being manipulative for the sake of his kids. Looks like his kids will play varsity next year!

Apparently he has some "deep pockets" and people won't stand up for what is right.
I've heard some stories that would make you cringe!!
Chaska is in for a big drop with the schools spliting in a couple years.

Steve Zierke was kick out of the program.
I don't why.
Where is he playing know?

Steve is still at BSM. He actually joined the Minnesota Owls of the MnJHL and helped lead them to the Junior B National Tourney. His suspension from BSM was only for last season.

Good luck to Benilde for having a parent of two kids as the Varsity coach. I wonder how this will sit with the rest of the parents of the kids that return next season.
I assume that his boys will have to play JV next year or at Breck if they are transferring this year. But then again, if daddy has lots of money, they will just move into a new school district to get past the new transfer rules.

just to be clear the knew transfer rule has NOT been passed yet. everyone is wrong when they say that. so you can still transfer.

Bob lee is correct
rbk hockey is wrong.
The league has passed the transfer rule.
What is not known is if the legislature will overturn it. The bill to overturn it has gotten nowhere, but until the legislature adjourns, anything is possible.

Just to specify, what exactly is the transfer rule now? And does it apply for all schools or just private schools?

Reilly will not be the head coach next year, trust me. Plus, the reilly boys were already at benilde this year, so the transfer rule doesnt matter for them. They will most likely make varsity next year anyway, they are both very skilled

Toe Pull, are you sure your insider trading secrets are correct? My outsider trading secrets say that Larry is going to run the Herb Brooks foundation training center in Blaine. Just hope his health is not failing.

That was what I heard. I heard Hendrickson took a big job at the Herb Brooks deal. They are looking for a new head coach. Reilly was the 5th guy to be asked to take the assistant coach and he said yes. His kids are good and skilled but are small. I talked to the Benilde kids and they said he will not take the head coaching job.

Well I'm not sure what Larry is or isn't doing but I saw him a couple of weeks ago at the Superrink taking what appeared to be a full tour of the Herb Brooks Foundation training facility. Knowing he was at BSM, I watched with curiosity since it looked like he was involved in some way there.

One thing about Reilly, he is a winner and as a VERY intense guy. I suspect he will be pulling the strings at Benilde and will make sure they get a very good head coach. I hope whoever takes the job asks Chris Zierke back. He is one of the better 90's in the state.
