I just want to know what people on this board think the biggest upset was Edina not winning state or holy angles not making it to state.

Holy Angels, hands down. If Edina beat Rapids, they were not beating Roseau.

Burnsville taking out Holy Angels in the section final is one of the biggest upsets in recent memory.

Disagreed. Burnsville went something like 17-2 down the stretch. They also showed they can play with anyone once they got to the X.

Very true Burnsville was not a bad team.

I still pick Holy Angeles losing, Grand Rapids was not a puchover by any means.

And hahahahahooooolllllllldddd your horses Bob you do not know that Edina would have lost to Roseau. I actually believe that they would have matched up very nicely with them.

I watched the Burnsville/Holy game and I'm not saying this to take anything away from the Burnsville kids but I've never seen a game where a clearly more talented, dominant team got beat. Edina was good but young and defensively not as good as Rapids was this year.

Wow. Their goalie had a great game, and the Holy Angels goalie had a 60% save rate. The chances of all that happening are nill, and it happened the one time it would. They play 100 more times and B-ville takes maybe 1 or 2 more of them.

You are wrong. This is a team that went 15-1 down the stretch into the state tournament. Also, after they beat AHA, they had the confidence that they could beat anyone. If they played 100 times, Bville wins ATLEAST 5-10.

I'm sorry, they would win 5-10% instead of 2 or 3%. I totally forgot all that. So it's up to 1 in 10. Probably true.

It is very apparent you did not follow this Burnsville team. They didn't just fluke a team in the section finals and get to state. They were an overtime goal away from being in the STATE FINALS. The team had one thing AHA didn't, H-E-A-R-T. Burnsville was a VERY good hockey team. I am very tired of people discrediting their accomplishments. And I am a Grand Rapids fan, so I am sure Burnsville people agree with me, as well as many others.
