Once again Quickskills Inc will host a series of Hockey camps this summer. The camps are designed to develop individual skills and features current and former division one players as coaches. Information on all of these camps can be found on the QuickSkills website under hockey camps. The Grand Rapids camp is the last three weeks of August
While Bemidji camp begins July 9th .

QuickSkills is in the process of negotiating ice time in the Hibbing Chisholm area and if negtiations are successful a defensman/goaltending camp along with a late August/September QuickSkills session will be held . The Defensman /Goaltending camp would be held the last week of July . Watch the QuickSkills website for news on these events ,

Thank you to all of you who have sent in your early applications. This is very helpful in planning the sessions. For those intending to register at any of the QuickSkill event if you could send your Registration in as early as possible I would appreciate it. No money is due until June 1st.

Is there a defense only camp set up yet? If so, where and when?

I am currently waiting for the Chisholm rec board to determine when their ice is going in and Then I will make the announcment on that camp as of right now it is a go depending on ice avaialability is the only question .Other wise I am planningto do it the date tenativly would be the last week in July depending on the Chisholm ice decision. Thanks for the question rest assured it will be posted as soon as I finfd out from Chisholm.

for both Defensmen and goaltenders . Applications will be available locally very soon as welll as on the quickskills website . Further information can be obtained at 218 -259-2503

Who will some of the coaches be? Is Craig Pierce involved at all? I remember him being a good teacher of my son at the pee wee level a few years ago and from what I've seen he's helped develop some solid D at the high school level.

It is too bad these aren't evening times. I wonder if more people could participate if they were.

Possible Craig could be in the mix depending on numbers Grant Clafton Former StCloud State Defensman will lead the defenseman camp Whiile Bobby Goephart Former Husky all american and Draft pick of the Pittsburg Penguins is tenativly set as the Goaltender Instructor..

Grant is another great role model/teacher for the younger generation. Glad to see people like that getting involved.

applications for this camp are now available at Modich sports in Hibbing, Clafton Skate in Grand Rapids .

Quickskills Inc. has tenativly reached agreement with Bobby Goephart formerly of the St Cloud Huskies and draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins . Goephart was a third team All american and finalist for Hoby baker this past year , Goephart will be the lead instructor at the goaltending sessions.
