I am just wondering who Cloquet has comming up next year to fill the six forwards who are now graduated. i think they will have the best defense in the state and will be a force next year. what do you think?

They are also losing the best goalie in the state.

doesnt cloquet have like 5-6 forwards comings that will be srs: Jokinen, who led the section in points, Boleman, Hermatinger, Goodbought, Dunaisky (slaughtering his name, sry).
I believe They also have colton roy, who will be a jr?? HE will be fun to watch...

They have depth pretty much everywhere. Also, a lot of teams r losing their starting goalies, so cloquet is not the only team in that situation.

I think they will be alright. With Reid TJ Brown Roe etc.... gone they are going to need to step up. Jokinen should do well given what he did this year and knowing next year that the experienced goalies are gone. I say they end up a 3-4 seed. East will be tough.

Aaron Baker will start for them next year. He is a good goalie. He can get the job done.

Goalies don't score goals. It had been thrown around that Duluth Central had one of the top goalies in state, but when you're the only good player on your team, that is impossible to tell. In Cloquet's case they play a defensive game. If that fails, they lose.

NO it hasn't been
you were the only one to ever throw that around and you have brought it up many times
he is a decent goalie, but FAR from being one of the top in the state
i am not sure where you ever got that info from

With Brown and Jokinen returning, and guys like Adam Boleman and Colton Roy....they will be tough.

I don't feel they would have beat Rapids in the final either way. Rapids played a pretty darn good hockey game. But, they would have finished a lot stronger, and maybe, just maybe had enough in the tank.

Rapids out played them by a longshot that game.

I wasn't making any excuses... But I would like to see how any team would do with losing 5 of their starting forwards. Including a Mr. Hockey finalist. I have no worries about next year with the Jacks...

Cloquet is typically competitive. Every year the question arises if the vacancies can be filled and they nearly always are. Baker will step up to the tending tasks- i'm sure he's excited for the opportunity. No excuses need to be made for a season that ended 22-4-2. They will continue to work hard and continue to be a force in the section.

i dont think Cloquet had any good players on there JV squad this year that will make a difference on Varsity Next season so I think they will be tough but they wont be a power house In the section.

I agree with Boblee. With Jokinen and Brown returning they should do just fine. They also have some strong JV players that will help as well.

Cloquet is always tough, next season will be no different. If you want to beat them you will have to earn it. That is just the way it is with Esse's hockey clubs.
