if chisago and blaine play at all, and the only time they can play is in the championship game, get ready for one hell of a game. their games this year were decided by a combined 3 goals.

you gotta be kidding me watched the game and your guy mugged the moorhead kid. moorhead penalties actually got you back in the game, and i think you guys got away with a few.

im going to have to say it will probobly come down to EP Red and Blaine. EP Red will win because of their outstanding goaltending, however...Blaine is a very offensive team with a couple of skilled forwards and a couple of good defenseman, but i just cant see anyone beating EP with the goaltending they have

blueblood,
finally someone on here that has some sense. My god has this forum gotten bad.
Wayzata Blue when on there game is the best team in the state, and they are on there game right now, hopefully the break wont hurt them. They man handled Ep red in regions. I do think however that Blaine will match up tough against them because they are simliar teams and who ever wins that match up I think wins state.
I think both teams will be stronger and more physical than red and will match there speed. Dont get me wrong Red is extremely skilled but when I seen blue hit them in regions I saw there weakness.
I am also going with blue

Just wondering, because in the high school state tourament the north teams dominated, what does everyone think about Moorhead and Pequot Lakes in state, or how they will do? I understand they might not be as good, but what about some upsets?

Moorhead and especially Peqout Lakes winning state would pretty much have to be the biggest upset in youth hockey state tournament history.

Not saying they cant be beat because obviously they arent undefeated, but the games ive seen Ford was outstanding. Wayzata is a good team and i give them credit for beating EP Red. They are another team with a good shot at the title. But out of the goalies in the tournament i think Ford is the best, as for the best overall team, we'll see on sunday

I think there are to many upsets in regions and state. I will give Wayzata credit for being a great team and will do great in state, I just dont feel like they are a team to win state, just my opinion.

Why did i pick EP over Wayzata when Wayzata clearly dominated them last game?
All of you have seen EP's terrible play against Wayzata in the regional tournement. Why did they play so badly? In my opinion it was because Wayzata took them out of their game, and beat them to pucks. In the 'ship game EP is very aware now (or they better be) that Wayzata has the ability to pummel them like they did last game. I'm predicting that they do bring their game and show the state who is the number one team. If you were at that game, or just saw the third period you would have noticed that EP came out in the third and scored twice, and in the period outshot Wayzata. Wayzata did not need to score, but EP really took it to them in that third period and showed the crowd that they werent going to go quietly. In the Edina Christmas tourney the game between these teams was a close game in which Ep won by a score of 3-1 or 2-1, showing that they can beat them. Not to take anything away from Wayzata, they are an extremely good team balanced with size strength and speed. They could easily beat Eden Prairie if EP doesnt show up with their heads in the game. They could also beat Ep even if they come ready to play. JUst make sure that you have your ticket for that championship game!
