What do you guys think about the matchup on Tuesday?

Blaine is the deeper team. 4 to 2 Blaine

by You can't win
The only way Blaine doesn't win this game is if Howe gets hot (like last time) i like Blaine in this game 3-1

Blaine is a much deeper team but section tourneys are normally won in the net and that edge goes to the Trojans. Blaine sees its season come to an end Tuesday 5-3.

I like Blaine, 4-1.

Gotta take my own school here. Howe shuts down the Bengals, and the suddenly alive Trojan Offense puts up some goals. 5-2 EN to Wayzata.

Give me...

Blaine 3

Wayzata 1

All the Trojans can do is play defense  . Shots will be easily in Blaine's favor with Howe stopping about 35 but he won't be able stop Beaudette and Lynch all night.

If Hanna from Centennail can shut down the Bengals Howe will have no problem doing so.

Scoring wise blaine has this no problem. But howe is amazing and if he is on top of his game i don't know if blaine can get the puck by him. But I'll say
Blaine-2
Wayzata-1

This game rests on the saves of Colton Schwartz. If he has a solid game, Blaine wins no problem. Off day for Colton could turn this thing into a shootout.

Man, I'm confused now. A month ago, I picked Wayzata as a dark horse if they could find some offense... I just didn't think they would! So, they go out and score more than 4 goals in a game for the first time this season. :?

Ugh. I dunno. I guess I'll stick with them...

Wayzata - 2
Blaine -1

Were you at the game? Did they call the goalie up from the peewee roster? Do you really think Wayzata just suddenly turned on the offense when they averaged about two goals all year? They will be brought back to earth tomorrow.

Yeah, I was at the game. Look at Armstrong all season though. They've played well. Wayzata had an extremely good night, and got to the Armstrong goalie early, and kepy pressure all game. One bad night doesn't tarnish an Armstrong season and make them a garbage team.

Let me ask you something... if you're not interested in what people have to say, why would you start the damn thread?

That makes about as much sense as driving the Blaine bandwagon. By the way, if you're fortunate enough to drive it to The X, you may just want to turn on the hazards and wait in the loading zone... you won't be there long.

Just like one good game doesn't make Wayzata a good team. They still don't have double digit wins and it will stay that way.

I am definately interested in what everyone has to say but I also want to see the opinions backed up with some strong reasoning. Isn't it more interesting for everyone if have a little back and forth. And by the way it's a big bandwagon, we'll save you a spot in the back.

blaine may be the best in the northwest suburban ,but other than elk river two times, who have they beaten that is a state tournament team,no one.
they lost to wayzata already. lost to thief river and roseau who are good teams.. anoka is decent, but i see them getting beat by an average wayata team who came off a 7 blank win.

Blaine beat TRF 3-2 not that it's an extremely impressive win. They are by no means a great team and I am not saying that but they are the best team in this section. They have gotten lucky once again with a weak section and should take advantage of that. Even if they don't win a game in St. Paul they would rather be there than watching the games on tv.
