District 4 is basically everything south of the cities (highway 19) and along or west of I-35, plus Austin
D-4 Bantam A

Faribault is the D-4 #1 Seed and Owatonna is the #2 Seed. Faribault has a very good chance to make State.

I would bet the 3rd seed from District 2 will advance to state
over both District 4 and 8

I wouldnt be so sure of that because Woodbury, Rochester, and Lakeville South or maybe Cottage Grove will be there and those are good teams. I heard Highland is also a decent team.

Faribault will be an interesting team in this year's format. Due to larger then normal number's, they have a large bench (I think 18). The lower end in the talent pool probably would have a hard time competing with the better team's in region's, but they also have quite a few player's (7 or 8) that definitely can play with any of those team's. They have some defensemen that will surprise you if you haven't seen them play, very tough to beat 1 on 1. If this team play's to their potential, they will open some eye's.

Ok thats wonderful for them? I never said Highland was the best, i just said they were decent....the probably wont go far in regions from what ive heard from others about them. Im not sure if you were trying to brag or prove something to me there or what, but honestly if you were a good team you should probably beat Highland...but thats just me. I havent seen a ton of Fbo so maybe they are better than i thought.

Hey DaBears25,
It looks like it should only be D8 teams advancing from the south on the other link.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The most difficult region????
Lets see....
I know that If i was a coach I would not want to compete with both EP and Wayzata to just get to state, so the West is pretty difficult. But from top to bottom the East is the most competitive. Sorry North and South, there are some good teams but the bottom of your tourney is really the bottom.
1. East
2. West (not by much)
3. North
4 South (Besides the District 8 teams)
You Bears going to have some say in that?

Are we ever.
Well, if we even end up in the South.
